CHAPTER FIFTEEN
Your Mission, Should You Choose To Accept It

Three years had passed since Ethan had left on his vacation, and Lorelai was fine. Once in a while, Ethan would stop and go into a town to find a payphone so he could call Lorelai for a few minutes.

Lorelai walked from her room to Ranford's office, noticing she was aggressively yelling at someone on the phone. She motioned for Lorelai to come in, so the younger agent did. Lorelai rolled her eyes at every sarcastic remark Director Ranford threw out. Lorelai sat down across from her and crossed her arms over her chest. Ranford hung up the phone, sighed and looked at Lorelai. "Lorelai..."

"I want a mission, that's why I'm an agent. You've sent almost all the other agents on ones, and I've been stuck here for a year." Lorelai ranted.

Ranford sighed, "you really want a mission?" Lorelai nodded profusely. "Fine." She handed her a file.

"Deadly chemical? Like The one I did four years ago, Mission: Hidden Chemical?"

Ranford nodded. "Almost. Chimera. There's not much information."

"Why does this say 'IMF'?" Lorelai questioned.

"Do you want a mission or not?"

"Yes, I do." A small smile appeared on Lorelai's face. She heard a small cough behind her. Turning herself around, she saw Luther standing there with a grin on his face. "Long time, no see. What are you doing here?" She mused.

"Ranford said we might get a call from a certain IMF agent soon, so here I am."

"A certain IMF— wait, no... no, no, no. I'm not doing that again." Lorelai realised.

"Oh come on, you miss him." Luther teased.

"No I don't." Lorelai denied. She stood up with the file in her hand. "Why do I feel like this is gonna be close to hell."

    "Australia."

"That's a new one." Lorelai muttered. She patted Luther's arm, then she walked away from the office and the secretly placed USB stick from the paper folder. No one else knew about that USB stick. She hooked it up to the computer and waited for it to finally load. "Alright, what happened." She mused.

It was more information from Ethan about the mission. Then there was an audio file. "Lorelai Myers, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to fly to Australia and help me on this mission. This USB stick will be disposed of in a few seconds." Lorelai could tell by the sound of his voice that Ethan was smirking.

Lorelai smiled as she took the USB stick out from the computer and set it on her desk as it turned to smoke, which disappeared quickly. She sighed, knowing she had to go to Australia. The phone started to ring, so she answered it.

    "Jackets and Verona."

"Jackets and Verona." She replied. "Ethan."

    "Got the file?"

"Yeah. Did you have anything to do with me getting this mission—"

"No, why would I ever... of course I did. You were sad that you didn't have a mission for a year, and I don't like seeing or hearing you upset." Ethan told her.

    "I wasn't that upset."

"Luther's gonna pick up another agent on the way I think to help. I already got a spy for us."

"Okay, good. That's good. Is she pretty?" Lorelai asked, smirking.

"She's alright, not you though." Ethan replied. "Gotta go, but I love you."

"Piss off." Lorelai laughed as she said it, then she hung up the phone. She got up from her bed and grabbed her duffel bag. "Guess I'm going to Australia."

A few hours later, Luther was flying the helicopter to Australia and they had picked the guy up. He kept rambling about something that Lorelai couldn't comprehend. Now Lorelai couldn't wait to see Ethan because of this guy. He seemed nice, but he was loud and very talkative. That's when they reached the destination and Lorelai saw the familiar, and annoying face.

Luther is the captain of the Ethalore ship, both him and Ranford

And Ethan remembering that at Eclipse they don't do the 'should you choose to accept it' speech, so he did it just to make Lorelai smile-

Okay, bye!
