A/N: This is the first part that I talked about posting in the last chapter that dives more into Scarlett's past. This is COMPLETELY FICTIONAL and the person who is the antagonist is made up.

TW: Sexual abuse, physical abuse, verbal abuse, and threatening.

Scarlett was going through a rough process of divorce with her for-now husband Kyle. When the two first met, it felt like it was love at first sight to Scarlett, but she soon learned during their relationship that Kyle was not who she thought he was. When he proposed to her, she felt like she had to say yes because their whole families were watching them. Her biggest regret was saying 'I do' at their wedding.

During their first months of marriage, it only got worse. Scarlett knew that Kyle had anger problems, but never in her life did she think he would take it out on her. When she walked onto the set for the production of 'Civil War' for Marvel one day, she failed to hide a hand mark on her cheek which Elizabeth Olsen, her best friend, quickly noticed and demanded to know what had happened. Scarlett broke down for the first time since her marriage and let Lizzie hold her for as long as she needed. She told her best friend everything and the two cried together. Scarlett eventually told some of the other cast members when things between her and Kyle became worse, and they all suggested that it was past time for a divorce.

Scarlett was terrified of how Kyle would react, and she had a very good reason to do so. She didn't have time to tell him before he shoved her roughly against a wall and began kissing down her neck without her consent.

Scarlett's POV

I struggled against Kyle's hold. He held my arms pinned above me as he began pushing himself against me, his lips attacking my skin. I squirmed, wishing that I was anywhere but in this house.

"Kyle, p-please stop," I whimpered as his hold on my arms started to form bruises.

"Why, baby? It's just like old times," he said as he grinded himself on top of me.

"You're hurting me. I don't want to do this." He continued his actions, continuing his lips to my lips. I squealed in discomfort. "Please let go." When he didn't stop, I resorted to the last option I could think of. I kicked him in his kneecap, and he immediately let me go. "I said no!"

"You bitch!" He screamed. He came towards me, and I prepared myself for a slap to my face, but instead, he did something different. He took me by the throat and held me against the wall. I was struggling to get in air, and I prayed he would let me go. "Don't ever disrespect me again."

"I...want...a...divorce," I gasped out as he let me go. If I thought he was angry before, this was completely different. He took a nearby lamp and threw it near me. I dodged it barely before quickly grabbing my phone and running out the door. I heard him following me, so I ran faster. Once I got into the car, I sped off as fast as I could and dialed a number on my phone.

"Hello?" I let out a sigh of relief as I heard Lizzie's soothing voice.

"Lizzie," I cried.

"Scar? What's wrong? What happened?" she immediately questioned.

"Help."

3rd Person POV

When Scarlett told her what had happened, Lizzie was livid. She wanted nothing more than to kill Kyle, but she held back for the sake of her best friend. All she could do at that moment was hold her and let her cry.

Ever since then, Scarlett had gotten a new apartment away from her original house with Kyle, who still stayed there. She tried to avoid being in the same room as him until it was absolutely necessary. The divorce process was insane. Unfortunately, she would still have to meet face-to-face with Kyle, which she hated. He always had something to say to her.
