A/N: Hello! Still have not forgotten about this book- I promise! I'm working on a long chapter right now that hopefully I should have done by next week. I have a busy few days ahead, but I will still be working on chapters in my free time. I hope you enjoy this one! This chapter takes place in college AU.
Wanda's POV
The rain poured outside, luring me into sleep. Just as I was about to close my eyes, my roommate, Agatha, came through our door. I looked at my digital clock to see it was just before one a.m. I didn't have the strength to ask her what she was doing out so late.
"Wanda, honey! Good, you're awake," Agatha exclaimed, causing me to sit up with tired eyes.
"What is it, Agatha?" I mumbled.
"So, I was just down at the club, and I met this guy, right? Well, we hit it off real fast and long story short, he's coming up here and so I need you to leave."
"Agatha!" I shouted, completely awake. "I can't just leave! It's one in the morning and I have nowhere to go!"
"Oh, I know, hon, but do this for me. I haven't had sex in months! I need this."
I was not convinced, yet that didn't matter because Agatha took my silence as an acceptance.
"Perfect! You need to leave now. He's coming up," Agatha said as she ushered me off her bed and moved me out into the hall.
I couldn't get anything else out before Agatha slammed the door in my face. I felt like crying. I was dressed in an oversized t-shirt, shorts, and socks and all I had on me was my dead phone and silver fox stuffed animal.
"Shit," I whispered to myself.
I thought of the places I could go, but I knew a lot of people would be annoyed at me for showing up outside their door in the early hours of the morning. Sighing, I decided to make my way to the one person I felt comfortable and safe going to.
Unfortunately, my car wasn't working (it wasn't like any cars were allowed on my college campus anyways), which meant that I had to walk through the hard, cold, rain. I began walking and immediately began shivering as my clothes and feet became soaked. I held my phone and stuffed animal close to my chest as small tears made their way down my face.
After twenty minutes of walking, I made it to the apartment complex I was looking for. I walked through the lobby and made my way to the elevator which, thank the heavens, was working. My whole body shook as I waited for the elevator to reach floor five. I stepped out and quickly looked for the apartment number. When I arrived, I hesitated, wondering if I would be too disruptive. Sighing, I knocked on the door.
I waited, hearing some movement from inside. Eventually, the door opened to reveal my girlfriend, Natasha Romanoff, in all of her beauty. I could tell she had just woken up, but as her eyes landed on me, they popped wide open.
"Wanda?" she gasped.
"Hi," I said with a small smile before a shiver went through my body that did not go unnoticed by her.
"Come here, you must be freezing!" Natasha brought me into her apartment and locked the door. "Why aren't you in your dorm? Did you walk all the way here?"
"Yeah. I'm sorry for showing up unannounced," I told her sincerely.
"Wands, don't ever be sorry," she said, placing a hand on my cold cheek. "Now tell me what happened? Why are you here? Not that I mind. I love having you here. I just wish I could've-"
I shut up here cute rambling with a small peck on her lips.
"You're adorable," I whispered.
"I am not!"
