TW: Physical abuse
Natasha was just about to fall asleep when she heard soft steps outside her door. She prayed that whoever was there would keep walking. However, the person knocked on the door. Natasha thought that if she pretended she was asleep, they would go away. She waited a few seconds until she heard soft sniffles. Not just any sniffles- Wanda's sniffles.
Without a second thought, Natasha quickly got up in record time and opened her door to see a tearful Wanda hiding her face in her hands. Her hair was a mess, yet Natasha still found her so beautiful. Nat pulled Wanda into her embrace and the young avenger let herself be held by her best friend. Natasha closed the door behind them and turned on the lights. She felt Wanda begin to wobble under her like she was struggling to hold herself up, so she swiftly lifted the girl into her arms and brought them over to her bed and moved her position to where she was practically rocking Wanda.
After a few minutes, Wanda had settled down a bit. "Wands, do you mind me asking what that was about?" Natasha quietly asked. She felt the girl shudder and on instinct, she held her closer. This wasn't an unusual action to occur as the two women were close in their relationship, but Natasha couldn't deny that she had feelings for Wanda.
"I-It's Vision," Wanda mumbled, her face still buried in Nat's shoulder. Natasha grew angry. She didn't particularly like the AI, and not just because she was jealous. There was something about him that she couldn't quite detect that made her uneasy about him. But if he was able to make Wanda like this, she wouldn't hesitate to beat the hell out of him- even if he was a robot.
"Wands, love, what did he do?" The younger woman began sobbing again. "What did Vision do?" Nat asked once more, getting more worried by the second.
Wanda verbally didn't say, but when she lifted her face that had a red hand mark across her left cheek, Natasha knew exactly what had happened. All she saw was red. She was planning a million different ways she could kill him. She took a calm breath before turning back to Wanda who was still crying. She placed a kiss on her head.
"What happened?" She gently questioned. Wanda's breathing picked up just thinking about it. "Hey, it's ok. I'm here. Take your time." Wanda could've melted right then and there at Nat's soft side. She was the only one who got to see this side of her. With a few deep breaths, Wanda composed herself enough to where she was able to talk.
"I- I was making my way over here because I wanted to have a movie night with you, and Vision asked where I was going, so I told him." Natasha nodded, following the plot while she rubbed Wanda's back. "He got really defensive and angry, asking me why I hung out so much with you and not him, which is not true. He is constantly by my side, and I do my best to provide him attention, too." Natasha knew this and she loved Wanda for being so kind to people. "So, I told him that, and he got even more angry and there was just so much yelling and then he- he..."
"It's ok. You're safe," Nat shushed her. Wanda nodded.
"He took me by the hair, and just shoved me against the wall and then he slapped my face," Wanda cried. Nat was close to tears, wondering how anyone could harm this sweet woman. She hugged Wanda for all that she was worth, hoping to provide some sort of safety for her.
After a few minutes, Wanda looked up.
"I'm sorry," she said.
Nat was confused. "Sorry for what?"
"Maybe I'm being dramatic. Maybe he didn't mean it-"
"Wands, look at me." Her eyes met Nat's.
"You are not being dramatic. I am so proud of you for coming to me. And he's a fucking android who knows everything. Of course he knows that hurting a woman is wrong. This is not your fault. Ok?"
