A/N: This is one of the most random chapters I have created, but it's super cute :)
Lizzie's POV:
I hummed as I poured pancake batter into a pan. It was eight-thirty in the morning, and I had just peeled myself away from my girlfriend's tight grip. Although it was hard to leave her when she had such an adorable pout on her lips, my stomach reminded me why I was getting up in the first place.
I recognized myself singing one of my favorite songs by Scarlett: 'Last Goodbye.' I was so invested in my cooking and singing that I didn't hear the footsteps coming towards me. It wasn't until two arms wrapped me up in an embrace from behind my waist that I noticed that Scarlett was behind me, enveloping me in the blanket she brought along with her. I felt her place sleepy kisses on my neck before cuddling into me.
"Good morning," I said, not losing focus on the food.
"Morning," she said, but I could clearly hear the pout in her voice. "Why did you leave?"
"I was hungry."
"Hunger is overrated."
I laughed. "You didn't have to get up."
"It was lonely without you. Come back to bed."
"In a bit."
She whined. I went to grab a plate for myself, but I couldn't move because Scarlett had a tight grip on me and was not making a move to let go.
"Scar, baby, I need you to let go for a minute."
"No," she mumbled into my shoulder.
"How about I cuddle you after I eat."
"Fine," she said, reluctantly loosening her grip, allowing me to grab a plate and utensils.
"Do you want a plate?" I asked.
"No, thank you. Not hungry."
I continued to fix my plate, putting a mix of strawberries and bananas on my stack of pancakes along with some syrup before making me a cup of tea. I went to sit down, Scarlett following me. She rested her head on my shoulder as I ate. Only a few minutes later did Scarlett raise her head from my shoulder and opened her mouth.
"I thought you weren't hungry," I smirked, but still gave her a bite of my food. How couldn't I? She's adorable.
"Changed my mind," she said with her voice muffled by a mouth full of pancakes.
"What do you want to do today?" I asked, feeding her another piece of my breakfast.
"Sleep."
"How about this: you can rest and then we can go on a date tonight?"
"But we don't have anything planned, and I doubt we can book some place this late."
"You leave the planning to me."
"You really don't have to, love."
"I love you, Scar. Let me do this for you."
"You are too good for me," she said, connecting our lips in a sticky kiss.
"I only do the best for the best," I told her, giving her the last bite.
I got up, and rinsed off the dishes before looking at Scarlett who was falling asleep with her head on the table.
"But you, missy, need a few more hours of sleep," I chuckled before picking her up and letting her wrap her legs around my waist as I carried her up to our room. I laid her down, and gave her the cuddles she requested as I picked a place for our date.
