A/N: I am so sorry for it taking a while to update! I'm so incredibly busy right now, but I promise I have not forgotten about this book. I will still continue to work on it and post as soon as I can! For this chapter, someone suggested that Lizzie has anxiety during the 'His Three Daughters' interviews/panels. Hope you enjoy!
Lizzie's POV:
'Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. Repeat.'
That's what I kept telling myself as I prepared for our first panel of the day for the new movie I was in- 'His Three Daughters.' There have been non-stop interviews over the past few days, and it was not benefiting my anxiety. It was really bad this morning and the minute I went to grab my meds out of my suitcase, I was met with an empty space. I had face palmed because I had forgotten my pills.
I felt like throwing up as my team put final touches of makeup on my face. There was so much I would do to be back in L.A. with Scarlett and sleeping in our bed. Unfortunately, Scarlett was too busy to come with me. She told me she could cancel all of her plans, but I insisted it was fine.
"Lizzie?" I heard a voice call out. I turned to see Natasha talking to me.
"Huh?"
"I asked if you are ok. You seem out of it."
"Yeah, I'm ok," I lied. She looked at me, knowing I was lying.
"You would tell me or Carrie if anything was bothering you, right?"
"Of course. You don't need to worry about me."
"Ok," she said in a skeptical voice.
I sighed and I began playing with my rings.
"We're on in five!" A person said.
I don't know why, but that set me off. I felt my chest tighten as my lungs refused to get air in. My hands were now shaking as they came to my pounding head.
"Lizzie?" Natasha asked, coming towards me. When she put her hand on my shoulder, she realized how much I was panicking. "Oh, Lizzie," she said, putting her arms around me. "I need you to calm down, hon."
As much as I tried, I couldn't control my worsening panic. My whole body was trembling, and a sob came out my mouth.
"Lizzie? Hey, Lizzie. You're ok." She tried to gather my attention but was failing. It wasn't long before I was hyperventilating. "Oh god. Carrie!"
"What? What's wrong?" I heard her voice boom.
"Lizzie's having a panic attack," Natasha answered, rubbing my back.
"Scarlett," I sobbed, wanting my fiancé.
"She's not here, Lizzie. I'm so sorry," Natasha said.
"I need- I need her," I stuttered.
"Carrie, get me Lizzie's phone!"
Carrie came over with my phone, giving it to Natasha who held the power button to use Siri in order to call Scarlett. I heard the phone ring over my crying before it picked up and Natasha began talking. At the same time, people who were running the event came over, all of them eyeing me.
"Here, I'm going to put her on the phone for you," Natasha said. "It's Scarlett," she told me, and I eagerly took the phone with Natasha helping me hold it against my ear.
"Scarlett?" I cried.
"Hey, my love," she said, and I wanted to die in happiness at the sound of her voice.
