Enid's POV

The weekend has passed, and it's been a few days since me and Wednesday came back. Everything has been good, and the first day back was...well, it was more than good. After the morning, we had the whole day to ourselves. We just relaxed in the dorm, watched some glee, went on a few walks around Nevermore, and then went to sleep. I think we might have gotten so used to our hospital routine we didn't know what to do. However, today is back to a set schedule, school, classes, everything.

Homeroom was normal, just the same useless hour of doing absolutely nothing. Then we had Statistics and History, which were both as they normally are...also a bit boring. Not gonna lie, I forgot how little I pay attention in classes, but part of me is working to change that...kinda. Anyways, right now me and Wednesday are in fencing class. Yoko and Taylor too. Since fencing is an optional class, it's not 'buddy system' mandatory. Meaning Divina, and Taylor's roommate both opted out. Nobody else from our friend group is in this fencing period either, so it's just the four of us in a class of fifteen.

This whole week is ranking. It's like March Madness but with Nevermore student fencers. This is the first year the school doing this, and everybody in my class is betting Wednesday to win. Well, mostly everybody.

I think I could beat her.

Now look, I know my girlfriend is extremely good at fencing. She's been playing for a while, and she's had her father teach her everything she knows. However, I've also been playing for a while, since I was in elementary school. My oldest brother Harry used to fence all the time, competitions and everything, ranking top ten in the country during his freshman year of college, and he taught me how to fence. I'm not saying that I'm better than Wednesday at fencing, there's still a very very good chance that she will kick my ass. All I'm saying there's just as good of a chance that I kick hers. Does that sound weird? Whatever, ignore it. You know what I mean. Assuming she wins the match she's currently playing, me and her are supposed to compete up against each other next, and if I win the match, hell, I win the whole bracket since everybody put her as the overall winner.

Right now, me, Yoko, and Taylor are sitting off to the back wall of the fencing room as Wednesdays on the mat in a match against another student.

"When was the first time? Oh God, don't tell me it was in the closet." Yoko asks with a disgusted look on her face, sitting off to my right in her full fencing gear.

Ever since the gang found out about me and Wednesday, they haven't stopped prying at us with questions. Mainly me, they know better not to ask her...unless they want a missing limb of course. I can't blame them for being curious. I mean, if two of my friends who are complete opposites from each other that have only ever expressed interest in men, suddenly got caught making out in public, yeah, I might have a few questions too.

"Not the closet." I respond blankly, staring at my girlfriend as she gains a point in her fencing match. I don't even realize I zone out until Yoko claps her hands in my face, snapping me back into reality.

"Girl, you don't have to daydream about her anymore, y'all are fucking regularly." She notes, a small smile creeping up onto her face.

"We've had sex once since getting out of the hospital. I'd hardly say that's considered regularly." I reply. I think back to Friday when we got back, retracing everything that happened. The kissing, the touching...her noises, and the look on her face when she-  my claws suddenly eject, pulling me out of my train of thought. I bring my hands in front of my face, looking at the pair of fencing gloves with ten new small holes in each of the fingertips. I sigh, retracting my claws and taking the gloves off my hands, reaching for the spare in my bag.
