This is also the LONGEST chapter I have ever written with 5073 words, beating the gas station chapter. So, buckle up, this one might be my favorite!!

Enid's POV

"And the crowd goes wild." Someone ever so rudely mocks, interrupting the comforting hug between me and Ajax. We separate, recognizing the person's voice. None other than Asher stands in the now-open doorway to the room.

"What are you doing here?" Ajax asks, looking at him full of confusion.

"We were supposed to hang out at ten, no?" Asher responds, checking his watch. Upon realizing he doesn't have one on his wrist, pulls out his phone to show both of us the time. The phone reads 10:01PM.

"So, that makes you late by a minute, I guess. Could we do another night? Tonight doesn't seem like the best at the moment." Ajax states, avoiding providing the other boy with too much context. Asher walks into the room fully, closing the door behind him.

"I wasn't late, I've been here for a while actually. You know I like to get places a few minutes earlier than normal, just to scope out the area of course." Asher notes, directing his attention from Ajax over to me, smirking at my current state. "Nice confession by the way. You made it much easier for me to figure out your little secret."

I freeze.

Now wide eyed and worried, I turn to Ajax and then back to Asher. I wonder how long he could have been standing in the door for, and what he could have heard in that time. Is it possible he thinks I was confession to Ajax? Maybe another boy in the grade? Surely, he doesn't know I was referring to Wed-

"Wednesday." He states, chewing his gum loudly. He looks me up and down, almost like he was examining me, and not in a good way. "I wouldn't have struck you for a dyke, Sinclair. Then again, all the rainbows you wear should have really send the message."

Shit.

Shit shit shit.

I don't know what to do. I open my mouth to speak but nothing comes out. So, I just stand there, him looking at me and me looking at him, saying nothing yet speaking volumes. The thoughts of what he might do worries me. I have no clue why he's so obsessed with the idea of outing me to everyone, but he is, and he's made it extremely clear that that's what he's planning on doing.

"Asher you need to leave, now." Ajax says, walking past him quickly and opening the door. Asher looks over to him with a mere pitiful look on his face.

"Ajax, dude, this is sad. I would have expected more from you." Asher states, ignoring the demand for him to leave the room. He speaks judgmentally and sternly, mocking everything and anything that can be said or done. "I mean, you just found out the girl that broke your heart is out and about with her roommate, a girl roommate, the same girl roommate she mentally cheated on you with, and what? You don't want to do anything about it? Pathetic." He continues, Ajax steps away from the front door, approaching Asher as he speaks and I remain standing to the side, unsure of what to do.

"The only thing I want to do is help her out. I can get over Enid, move on with my life, but what she's feeling right now goes further than her relationship with Wednesday." Ajax replies. "The only pathetic thing about this situation is you, and your obsession with Enid. It's become stalker-ish, don't you think?" Ajax continues to speak and step forward, eventually reaching Asher. "At the beginning I thought you might have just been trying to help me move on from her, like a good friend would. But I always had a thought in the back of my mind that you were just...a little bit jealous. And your obsession with finding who she's involved with, your obsession with outing her. It's all just jealousy, but you never knew who to be jealous of...did you?"
