aurora beams cascaded down the afternoon skyline of kensington gardens, illuminating the early springtime nature. it was still rather chilly, especially since it was in the middle of march in england of all places, so there wasn't too many people in the gardens.
sitting on a small bench, niall looked on in wonder; he had never been to this part of london before. sure he had been to london a lot but he had never visited anything other than the touristy places.
so when ally sat beside him, he wasn't afraid to ask a thousand questions about the gardens.
"niall wait, let me catch my breath then i will answer your questions," giggled ally at his curious nature.
"oh im sorry, hi ally, i just got so excited i've never been here before," safe to say niall's cool composure had definitely disappeared overnight.
"you have never been to kensington before? that's crazy! me, luke and quinn used to come here all the time with rob growing up it's like my second home," ally explained to niall, him nodding along, gazing at her starry eyed.
"it is really beautiful; i see why you come here a lot," niall spoke, his eyes never once leaving ally.
"i love it here, i could spend all day in the gardens and in the palace."
soon, the pair began to have a walk around, ally showing niall all the hidden gems of the gardens. despite them being open for the public, there were still secrets only uncovered by a few.
"you know, i had my first ever date here," ally spoke softly, her head resting on niall's arm around her shoulder.
"really? that must have been fun, getting to see all the nature" the man replied, genuine interest shining through his words.
"yeah it would have been if the avengers weren't hiding in disguise around the place," laughed ally. at the time she hated it; why was her family doing this to her? but now she understood what they were doing, and yes it was funny.
"good job they did tho, he turned out to be a creep." she quickly added.
"oh really what was his name?"
"tom." as in holland, yes.
"holland?" niall questioned, not wanting to seem too nosey on her personal life.
"yeah. that date he tried to kiss me and rob, my dad i guess, came out of that bush over there and pushed him," ally laughed pointing to the exact bush he hid in. "many people thought they were extras in the next avengers movie cause they all popped out of no where, it was just rob pushing tom to the floor telling him not to touch me."
"i shouldn't be too worried about the entire mcu rising from the bushes should i?" niall laughed, however he was genuinely scared for his life, though he wouldn't let her know.
"i don't think so? tom might be there tho," ally joked, then when she tilted her head and saw the look of panic on niall's face, she laughed even harder.
"i'm joking, james. and anyways i would be more scared than you if it did happen."
"why is that?" not wanting to seem too pushy, he quickly added on, "you don't have to tell me if you don't want to."
"no it's okay. um, tom was my first boyfriend, he was literally everything to me. he knew every little detail about me, from my family life, to my body. and he knew how to use that against me," taking a deep breath, she continued. "i was eighteen when we got together, he was nineteen or something i can't remember. he was perfect at the beginning, but then he quickly turned nasty. like fucking horrible.
"he used to use me for everything, if that makes sense, and he, um, made me stop taking to my brother and sister for like a year because 'i spent too much time with them' as he said. i saw them at birthdays and christmas that's it. but he knew the history of my family and how it came to it just being us three, and he destroyed the rest of my family for me." pausing from their walk in the gardens, she took a deep breath, only now figuring out she was crying.
as soon as niall noticed this, he immediately swept her up in his arms, whispering sweet nothings into her ears.
"jo, i'm so sorry. you don't have to tell me the rest if you don't want to," niall said sympathetically.
"would that be okay? i'll tell you another time, same with my family stuff, but i think we should talk about something else for now."
"sure, anything."
so, they spent the next few hours getting to know each other, exploring the gardens and the palace, ally recalling random facts from history. then ending up at ally's favourite kebab shop, and now niall's favourite, sharing some greasy hangover food (minus the hangover)

today two celebrities seemed to be sharing an intimate moment in kensington's very own gardens!
after being spotted at an event (click here for details) talking with each other, horan (known for his time in one direction) and hayes (known for her role as iris stark in the mcu) seemed like old friends catching up!
when hayes was approached by co-star, tom holland, niall was quick to her side, inside sources saying he was using names such as 'my girl' and 'darling' to address alora.
that leads us to today! the couple were spotted having a stroll through kensington gardens, holding hands, his arm around her shoulder, hugging, the lot!
it was even reported that alora was crying, but niall hugged her and make it better; how cute!
