at 39 weeks pregnant, ally was fucking uncomfortable to put it bluntly.
for the fifth time this week she had woken up to contractions but no signs of active labour.
until today.
something about this morning felt different; it was as if the baby was on their way.
the doctors had said it could be any day now- they also said she would know. at the time, ally didn't know what that meant but now she was experiencing it, she understood completely.
harshly, she woke niall up. she did try and be gentle but she was in so much pain she didn't care anymore. the second niall saw her pain-filled face, he jumped up, quickly getting ready and grabbing the hospital bag and running out the door.
ally just lay there, utterly confused but laughing when niall came back and sleepily helped her get ready.
"sorry," he said as ally kept laughing. "i panicked and forgot you were the one in labo- holy shit! you are in labour!" he exclaimed, fully processing the situation now he was awake.
"yeah i am, so ring quinn and jude to get here and watch p, and tell viv to get dressed cause we are going to the hospital," ally demanded between contractions.
ally had asked her best friend violet to be in the delivery room when she has the baby, so, since she didnt live in the uk, she was staying in one of the guest rooms in their home.
luckily niall didnt have to wake her up as a very terrified violet ran into their room asking if it was time.
this only caused ally to laugh more when she saw the state violet was in: her hair was a mess, eye mask half way on her head, her eyes partially shut.
"yeah violet, go get ready, we will meet you in the car," niall said as he gently helped ally to the bathroom so she could brush her teeth.
soon, the trio were in the car, ally gripping onto violet's hand as waves of pain rolled over her body.
the next few hours were a blur; ally had no clue what time it was when she arrived at the hospital, all she knew was that their beautiful baby girl was born at 4:56pm on the same day.
when the nurse said it was a girl, both parents cried out in joy; they had chosen not to find out the gender of the baby but they both had a feeling it was a girl.
the new parents lay there holding their perfect baby girl, embracing the tranquillity of the situation.
pretty soon, luke, quinn and nialls parents arrived at the hospital, all of them overjoyed at the new addition to the family.
as luke was holding his precious niece, he softly spoke, "i knew you always had hope, ally, i'm so proud of you." suddenly, he began to tear up only just realising his baby sister had her own baby.
"do you want to know her name?" ally asked quietly.
after a few "yeses" she smiled softly at her baby as niall announced her name to their family.
suddenly, the room simultaneously 'awwwed' at the babys name; it suited her so much.
