anticipation hung in the air as the clock ticked closer to midnight. each second that passed was agonisingly slow as ally and niall waited and waited.
in february, niall released heaven then meltdown a few months later, all being received well by critics and fans.
but that just made him more nervous for the entire album to be released. no matter how many times ally had reassured him that it was a masterpiece, there was still this sense of doubt nagging in his mind.
originally there was supposed to be a release party, all the people who worked on the album, along with family and friends, celebrating in one room. but after the recent events, niall wanted it to just be him and ally.
so they lay on the couch all night, cuddled up with penny snoring away between them watching endless movies to stay awake.
well, they talked throughout most of them.
soon, the time ticked over to midnight, ally and niall celebrating his successes and the show finally being released.
you could tell how proud niall was of this album, he poured his heart and soul into every single element, creating something he was so passionate about.
and ally couldn't be prouder of him.
over the past few weeks he had been so caring and compassionate towards her, sometimes she forgot he was grieving too.
so that's why she wanted to make his night as special as it could be.
"niall," she said softly as he was hugging her tightly, laying on top of her. "i'm so proud of you."
"i love you so much, jo,"
"im so grateful for you being there for me these past few weeks and you deserve all the happiness in the world, im sure everyone will love this album just as much as you do," she expressed, making niall blush as his face found comfort in the crook of her neck.
they just lay there taking in the moment, the only sound was the avengers playing in the background and penny's soft snores.
"do you want to see what everyone's saying so far?" she asked while scratching his back gently.
"give me a few more minutes here," he replied sleepily, smiling as he heard ally giggle when he tickled her slightly.
