"alora josephine hayes! it's about time you call me," announced robert as he picked up the phone.
"i'm sorry, life has just been very busy but i do have something to tell you," she apologised when seeing his stern face.
"it's okay i'm only messing with you josie, what's up? i'm not going to be a grandpa am i?" he gasped, thinking he had found out the truth.
"what? no! i just wanted to say that i have a boyfriend, and im not pregnant," she exclaimed in shock, niall giggling in the background.
"is that him? i need to have a talk with him," robert spoke very quickly, his inner dad showing.
robert had known ally since she was ten or so, when she became his on screen daughter in the mcu, in those years the two have grown so close she, aswell as luke and quinn, viewed him as a father figure since theirs isn't the most involved in their lives.
passing the phone to niall, ally quickly said a warning to her dad, begging him not to embarrass her.
"you must be the boyfriend," he said in a warning tone, trying his hardest to be scary.
"hi, that's me sir, i'm niall," he replied, looking over at ally briefly when he saw her smile.
"you better treat her right or i will get all the avengers on you! that is not me bluffing either, son," robert threatened, and before niall could answer, ally butted in telling him to knock it off.
five minutes later and they had finished their friendly conversations, mostly due to ally hanging up on robert when he said something about awkward thirteen year old ally.
"i like him!" niall said after trying to tackle her phone off her.
"he likes you too, although he was abit harsh there, not going to lie," she replied, pushing niall off her before grabbing one of his cardigans and making her way downstairs as niall admired her departing figure.
