Oh Lisa! Can you hear yourself?
I know I know...she whined, realizing how stupidly she had acted.
In his car Lisa and on the highway!
Would you please not make me feel any worse? Hades is already mad at me as it is and I badly need someone who'll help me feel better.
Well welcome to your bestie's arms girl because that is the last thing I'll be making you feel today.
Urgh! Lisa groaned, frustratedly.
Sick ass bitch! Fiona hissed. You should go apologize.
I intend to. Crashing his car was the last thing on my mind honestly.
What else did you expect would happen?
Drop it Fiona, let's not brood over this any longer. We're getting married in two months, he can't possibly stay mad for long.
Speaking of which, when are you planning on breaking up with Lance?
Who?
Don't act dumb Lisa. I bet Hades doesn't even know you've got a boyfriend.
Lance is the least of my worries at this point, he's presenting on a business trip to Lebanon and by the time he's back, I and Hades should be official by then, he'll take cue by himself.
You're so cruel.
Call it what you will, Lisa shrugged. I know that pompous asshole, if I were to call it quits with him right now, he would cause a fuss and ruin everything for me and that's the last thing I want.
Fiona sighed.

THE NEXT MORNING

The night before, Hades had arrived home late and she knew he probably did so on purpose in order to avoid engaging in a conversation with her. Breakfast that morning was cold as neither of them was willing to start a conversation. It was so frustrating that Lisa decided to break the ice, if she were to leave it up to this man, she was sure he would be more than capable of giving her the cold shoulder forever.

I'll be having a photo shoot at the studio today....
Mmm, was all he said.
I would like you to take me there.
Mhmm
And since it's your final day overseeing the construction site, I would like to go and see how far things have gone.
When Will You Be Coming?
This afternoon. She replied, glad He was finally using words. I'm really sorry about the accident. She added. I'm sorry.
Let's Just Go Already, I'm Running Late. He said briefly, getting up from the table.

The little minx, an absolute witch which He was realizing was possibly sent to torture the life out of him. Hades was thinking irritably as He sat in the office that afternoon. There was nothing convenient about having Lisa Valentino in his life aside from the fact that He wanted a successor at the end of the day. His telephone rang, distracting him and he picked it.

What? He growled.

It was his secretary back in New York. He had reconnected with her the moment He made the decision to finally come back to the world after ten years of self imposed isolation. She had been feeding him with information about the company ever since. She was busy chattering away in a business like tone on the other end as Hades who was standing in front of his site- office window kept his gaze fixed on the little jolly scene going on outside.

Mmhmm Mmhmm Go On... He muttered.

He kept his eyes fixed on the scene outside where Lisa stood, talking care-freely and laughing. Engaged in a conversation, surrounded by a whole rugby scrum of big, tough builders wearing yellow helmets, dust-covered steel capped boots, tight tee shirts and jeans. And what was Lisa wearing?
Hot-pink! It was her favorite colour, he had come to realize during the last ten days. This time she was wearing a pair of baggy pants and a small black top that exposed some of her belly, a pair of black sun glasses above her head and a small fancy bag over her shoulder,

I Don't Know About That Sonia, He murmured into the telephone.
I think you should really consider this sir.
Just Put Everything On Hold For Now, Till I Get Back.
Ofcourse sir.
He hung up afterwards.

The laughing outside hadn't died down, what could she possibly be talking about to gain the attention of a group of full grown men? Was this what she meant by coming over and seeing how far work had gone? He bet they weren't even interested in what she was saying, just her presence alone was enchanting. He knocked twice on the glass window, attracting their attention down below. Lisa turned around, smiling brightly at him. The other man had a smudge on their lips.
