Fragrance....
Cool breeze...
Slender fingers..."Hades? Open your eyes, honey." She giggled, sitting on the head of the bed.
"Venice?" He smiled, tiredly. "You're back!"
"For the very last time, yes."
"I won't see you after today?"
"Not anymore, no."
"Have you heard?"
"You found your mother. Yes. I'm happy for you, Hades."
"She was so happy to see me also. She almost could not believe the little baby she had left off at the orphanage was towering over her now."
Venice laughed and then looked out the window. "I'm proud of you actually. I'm proud of what you've become."
"And what have I become?"
"The Man you truly deserve. You have Allison and a mini-you."
"What a term." He smiled. "I sure hope he doesn't grow up like I did."
"And I for one, know that if anything, you'll groom him up to be an even better Man than you ever were."
"I hope so."
"I know so." She smiled.
"It feels odd in a way."
"What feels odd."
"For all the chaos to finally come to an end. What now?"
"Well now you sit back and bask comfortably in your well-earned peaceful life."
"I guess so."
"Yes, that's all there is."
He sighed, relaxed and comfortable. Venice glanced at him.
"Go back to sleep, Hades. I'll only be here for a little while."
"Ofcourse, Thank you...thank you so much...for visiting one last time....."~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Dada! Dada!! Dada!!!"
"Oh crap!" Hades groaned as his four year old wouldn't stop punching the hell out of him, till he woke up that morning.
"Fine! Fine!! I'm up!" He chuckled, holding Edwin's little fists in place. "Where is your mother?"
"Where is his mother?" Allison walked in, annoyed. "Have you forgotten what day it is?"
"Oh? It's Saturday already?"
"Yes yes yes. It's Saturday Dada!" Edwin said, yelling at the top of his voice.
"Ofcourse buddy." Hades smiled at his son. "I'll get ready in a few, I'm sure grandma would be waiting for us too. Run along, I'll be down in a second." He says to the little boy who nodded and hopped out of the room, excitedly. Hades got to his feet and gave Allison a quick kiss.
"I'm glad to have you."
"It's been five years. Are you just getting that now?"
Hades frowned.
"Just kidding." She laughed. "Now go wash up, you know how impatient Edwin can get."
"Right, that fury ball." Hades chuckled, heading for the bathroom. "He gets that from you, you know."
Allison shrugged. "I'm his mother, afterall."
"That's right." Hades shut the bathroom door after him and smiled.Little miss fury....
