Two Heroes: Part Two

"Now answer my question," you drawled, wrapping your arms around his neck. "How do I look in your colour, darling?"

His breath hitched as he instinctively grabbed your waist, your faces inches apart from each other. He could smell the perfume lingering on you, floral notes hanging in the air. And of course, the necklace he'd gotten you was also there dangling around your neck, the blue stone pendant glimmering under the sunset glow. 

You looked ethereal. 

You looked ethereal, and you were with him. 

All night, you'd be hanging off his arm. Words couldn't put together just how happy he was at the thought. 

"You look amazing," he breathed out, tucking a strand of hair behind your ears. 

You keened under his attention, looking up at him with big eyes as he cupped your face. He couldn't stop himself from glancing down at your lips, though averted his gaze as soon as he noticed, staring deep into your eyes. He could feel your breath mingling with his, the air hot between the two of you. 

His phone rang loudly, bringing both of you out of the trance. 

"Iida," Shoto answered, stifling a groan. "What do you want?"

"Where are you two?! It's way past our agreed upon meeting time! You and L/N-chan better not be up to anything inappropriate, we don't want to tarnish the name of our prestigious school!" Came the response.

Shoto hung up.

"What did he want?" You asked, rubbing the back of your neck. 

"He got the wrong number, meant to call Midoriya," he shrugged. 

"Think we should head out?"

"Sure," Shoto hummed, offering you his hand. 

You smiled as you took it, wrapping your arms around his bicep as you walked out. Together, you looked perfect for each other. His suit was mostly white, with red and blue accents, whilst your dress was mostly blue. With it, you carried a white sling bag, and wore some deep red lipstain. You were matching in every aspect. By the time you made it to the hotel lobby, the only ones there were Iida, Mineta, and Kaminari, all of whom were dressed up as well. 

"Woah, she's even prettier in formal wear!" Kaminari awed, drooling. 

You didn't seem to notice the duo oggling at you shamelessly despite you latching onto him, something which didn't sit well with Shoto. While you talked to Iida about everything you'd seen at the fair, Shoto turned to Mineta and Kaminari, staring them down until they finally recoiled. 

Before long, Midoriya and the other girls joined, and you let go of his arm to eagerly chat with the others. Despite you having latched onto his left arm for the warmth, he suddenly felt cold without your presence, which surprised him. 

"Man you two look super good together," Kaminari drawled, patting Shoto on his back. "Still can't believe you haven't wifed her up yet, how can you have a total babe like that making heart eyes at you and not do anything about it?!"

"Stay out of my personal matters, Kaminari," Shoto glared, eye twitching in annoyance. 

Just then, an alarm blared over the speakers, an announcement following suit. 

"This is an announcement from the I-Island security system," the speaker announced. "We have received a report than an explosive device was discovered somehwere on the I-Expo grounds. I-Island will now be in high alert more. Your safety is our top priority. Residents and tourists should follow further directions given by the island's sentries and head indoors. Anyone remaining on the streets after ten minutes will be in violation of the law. As a precautionary measure, most of the main island's buildings will now be sealed off. I repeat..."
