"Hey, hope I didn't keep you waiting, L/N-San!" Midoriya grinned, walking up to you.

You were sat at a café, and looked him up and down. The greenette wore a yellow shirt labelled "casual shirt", paired with a darker set of shorts. Completely different to how you were dressed, sitting in a blue sundress, golden rimmed sunglasses resting on your head.

"No worries, I haven't been here long," you hummed, offering him a seat next to you.

"So uh, why did you call me, if I may ask?" Midoriya began.

"Let's have something to drink first, hm?" You offered, calling the waiter over.

The two of you ordered your drinks, and talked about school for a bit, before you decided to venture into the more dangerous topics you were curious about. Still, you were unsure if the topic was best approached in a public area like this.

"How are your injuries from yesterday?" You asked.

"Much better thanks to Recovery Girl, her quirk is so amazing!" Midoriya beamed.

"That reminds me - I'm curious about your quirk," you explained. "But perhaps that is a topic best discussed elsewhere."

"O-oh!" Midoriya stammered, freezing up. "O-o-o-okay!"

"Good," you smiled, taking the last sip of your coffee. "Sir, could we pay please?"

"Of course, ma'am, would that be together or separate?" He asked.

"Together, I'll be covering it," you nodded.

"I'll bring the bill in a second," he smiled.

It wasn't long before you'd paid for everything, allowing the two of you to leave. You found yourselves a nice spot at a park, beneath a tree, and sat at the bench.

"You really didn't need to pay for me," Midoriya sighed.

"I invited you, it would be rude to make you pay," you shrugged. "Besides, this is my father's card. Perks of being the daughter of two successful heroes, I suppose."

The two of you stayed in silence for a bit, before you finally spoke up once again.

"Listen, my brother thinks I'm pulling at straws here, but our classmates have all seen it," you began. "Your quirk, it's a lot like All Might's. Aoyama-kun also mentioned that Recovery Girl saw the damage you had at the entrance exam and said that it was like your body wasn't used to the quirk. Bakugou keeps complaining that you used to be quirkless too, and as hotheaded as he may be, I don't think he's that delusional. And even yesterday, at the USJ, you and the other teachers went on about his time being up. Even he mentioned that he'd gotten weaker."

"Where are you going with this, L/N-San," Midoriya choked out.

"Have you- is- is it possible to pass a quirk on?" You asked. "Did you somehow get All Might's quirk?"

The greenette froze, looking over at you.

"I haven't even told my mom..." he admitted. "Kacchan- uh, Bakugou, that is - he knows that my quirk is one I got from someone else. But I felt like I owed it to him. We grew up together, and in his eyes, I was always the weak Deku who couldn't do anything. Now that I have this power, he's confused by it.... so I had to tell him!"

"But he was the only one you planned to tell, since you didn't know any of us," you hummed. "I'm not asking for details, but I am curious. The teachers have been whispering about All Might constantly, and your quirks resemble each other so much for the fact that you aren't related."

"You guessed this much just from those vague comments?" Midoriya asked.

"Not only that," you sighed. "I knew you couldn't be a late bloomer. Everyone gets their quirk by the time their four. If a quirk doesn't emerge, the kid gets taken to the doctor. There are some quirks that are difficult to find, and those quirks get diagnosed through multiple tests. Even late bloomers usually have the quirk factor, while their body waits for a development before the quirk itself pops up one day. And when all my friends got their quirks, I knew I wasn't quirkless, because of that doctor telling me."

"You're a late bloomer?" Midoriya asked.

"Time quirk users tend to be, since your brain needs to develop a bit more to process the quirk," you shrugged. "So of course I just told my friends I need to get a bit smarter and then I'll have a cool quirk of my own. And we were four, they'd believe anything."

"But strength quirks are simple and don't need too much processing power," Midoriya finished. "And Kacchan would've known the difference between quirkless and late after all these years."

"Exactly," you nodded. "So I made a few guesses, things I didn't even know if they were true."

Once again silence enveloped the two of you, one that was surprisingly comforting despite the tension between the two of you.

"Please don't tell anyone," Midoriya sighed. "My mom doesn't even know yet, I really don't want to worry her..."

"I won't," you promised. "But Bakugou's perceptive, he'll find out eventually. How are you going to handle his rage then?"

"I don't know," Midoriya admitted. "We've known each other so long, it'll be difficult when the time comes."

You hummed in agreement, watching as Midoriya stayed silent, deep in thought. It was a nice day, the sun was out and a light breeze ruffled through the leaves of the trees. Birds were chirping, and quite a few people were walking about. Of course, kids your age was rare, considering everyone was at school today. After a few minutes, Midoriya spoke up once again.

"You're the only one who gives Kacchan the benefit of doubt, can I ask why?" He mumbled.

"Honestly, it just comes from the base understanding that we're all in the hero course," you sighed. "I know you two have history, and judging by the shit he pulled the first two days, I gathered he's not the most pleasant person. But he's in the hero course, meaning he's either actively trying to become a better person or he'll realise his faults soon. I suppose it's just me seeing the best in people."

"I get what you mean though," Midoriya hummed. "He's a bit of a jerk sometimes, but he's more dedicated than anyone I now, and he really is an amazing guy! I mean- he's done some stupid things when we were younger, but he really does seem to be changing...."

The two of you stayed silent once again, the events of your first week of school flooding through your mind.

"So you breaking your bones constantly comes from the fact that you haven't gotten used to the quirk yet?" You asked.

"Yeah, so I just don't bother turning it on and fight quirkless for the most part," Midoriya shrugged.

"But.... but you don't turn quirks on?" You stated, confused.

"It just exists, it's always there."
