It had been only a couple hours of training. Sae was having fun at first, but began to get exhausted. Her legs began to tremble as well as her hands. She had so much adrenaline before but now it's all gone, making her extremely tired. "I've gotta say Sae most demon slayers would've collapsed already, the fact you're still standing is pretty flashy"! Tengen said as he gave her a thumbs up. "Well done lady Sae, we should get some rest now. Tomorrow we begin more intensive training, only we will do it separately". Gyomei informed while bowing to Sae. "Of course thank you, and why is it i'm only training with you four? I thought there were other hashira". Kanae informed her friend that they were on long missions and won't be able to attend.

Once Sae said her goodbyes, she remembered that she had to go to the infirmary to check on Sanemi. Once she arrived she saw him laying there, she couldn't tell if he was asleep or not. Sae walked over while grabbing a chair to sit next to him. It only took a second to realize that he was indeed asleep. Sae smiled, she had an idea. Sae stepped out of the infirmary to the kitchen to make him something to eat. Though she didn't know what he liked so she just made one of Suyoshi's favorites which was ohagi. Sae hoped he liked it. She even added rice balls in case he didn't like the ohagi.

Sae made her way back to the infirmary, as she was walking with the tray of food she ran into Shinobu. " Oh hello Sae, What are you doing here so late? I thought you would be home by now". Shinobu looked at the tray of food. "Yes I was, after I visit someone in the infirmary. I made him something to eat hopefully it'll help". Shinobu was confused " Oh you mean Sanemi, good luck we have been trying to get him to eat. He doesn't want anything to do with us at the moment, he's a pretty moody guy". Sae smiled "Yeah i've noticed still I thought i'd give it a shot". Shinobu waved her goodbye "Have a good night Sae". Once Sae arrived to the infirmary She noticed Sanemi was sitting up, letting her know he was awake. "Hello Sameni, i'm back and I brought you some food".

Sanemi Pov

There she was, the girl with the angelic voice. I don't know why but her company was something I look forward to. "I'm not hungry, just give it to someone else". I said bluntly I don't need people taking care of me. " Oh well that's too bad, most demon slayers i've made food for go crazy. Are you sure you don't want any"? Sae insisted "Yeah i'm sure I don't need you to do anything for me, just someone to talk to is fine". Sanemi was getting a bit annoyed not as much as he is with Shinobu and the others. "Alright I guess i'll eat this ohagi and rice balls by myself". She couldn't see but my eyes widened. How did she know that was my favorite food, maybe a lucky guess. It's the only reason I haven't eaten anything is because everyone else made soup and other stuff I don't exactly like and I didn't want to tell them I like ohagi. "W-wait i'll have some... please". I couldn't seen her face but I just know she smiled when she heard me say that. I don't normally say please but I was hungry and I wanted ohagi more than anything. "Oh sure, would you like me to feed it to you or do you think you can handle it"? I panicked I can't see cause of the bandages I would have to feed myself cause having her feed me would make me feel embarrassed. Before I could say anything. She put the most delicious ohagi in my mouth. I couldn't believe it, it was the most flavorful thing i've ever had. I felt my cheeks get warm but why. "I take it that it was good considering that you haven't spoken anything, I get that reaction a lot". I didn't know what to say, I should say thank you but the words never came out. She proceeded to feed me. While she ate rice ball's. She said she made them in case i didn't like ohagi. We soon had many conversations, getting to know each other more. I just found out she's adopted by the master. How come i've never heard of her before? I've also never seen her, I bet she's really pretty. For her voice I can tell that she is. I wonder when i'll be able to see her. It'll be a few days before I can actually see again. I don't know what's with me, having a conversation with her is so easy and calming. I feel like I can be myself around her. It seems she can too. She opened up to me even though we just met earlier today. She's caring and thoughtful, I don't know why she's taking to me in the first place, to most people i'm cruel which is true I don't like getting close to people. I could care less but Sae seems like someone I can be honest with. She's mature enough, she is a year older than me so makes sense I guess.

Months later no one's Pov

Sae was currently training with her friend Kanae, well more like learning how to use wisteria. Eventually they would just hang out, eating, talking, basically everything friends do. Sae had always been appreciative of Kanae. She was the one who found her all those years ago. Since Kanae was so young she was accompanied by a Hashira, the flame hashira. They have been friends ever since. Sadly Kanae was always on missions so they didn't have a lot of time to hang out. So Sae would accompany Shinobu.

The girls were currently sitting down testing ways to use wisteria. CAW CAW KANAE HAS A MISSION WEST OF HERE LEAVE IMMEDIATELY CAW CAW. "Well I guess i'll see you later Sae, you can move on to train with Rengoku". Sae nodded "Be safe Kanae, i'll head out now". Sae walked towards the flame hashira estate. She was hesitant to do so knowing how the Rengoku home can be. She met him in the back to train. " Ahh Sae i'm glad you came, today i'm going to show you how to use flame breathing so be ready let's start with some basic stretching"! Sae looked at him with determination. "Alright let's do this"! Being around Rengoku brought out the loudest in Sae.

It had been hours of training and Sae was beginning to give up. "Hey Sae don't give up now, if Tengen saw you right now he would say something like ' that's not flashy or now that's not my flashy girl' come on you can do it"! Sae sat with her head down. All this training and still nothing. Maybe she just wasn't meant to be a demon slayer. "Don't give up set your heart ablaze"! Sae stood up took ahold of her sword tightly. She calmed herself , clearing out anything from her mind. trying to picture what to do. Despite the hot sun hovering over her, she felt cold, like a gust of wind. That wasn't it, her hands became cold. She remembered whenever she felt scared, determined or worried she would get a cold feeling. She felt it from her hands all the way down to her toes. Then it hit her, the cold breeze flowing through her body. "Ice breathing. First form. Frost bite".

•Shinobu and Kanae go to a town and find a young girl and decide to take her in.

•Sanemi is all healed and is currently at the butterfly estate practicing on dummies hoping to see Sae for the first time.

•Rengoku couldn't have been more proud. Sae was finally able to obtain a breathing style. He can't wait to tell Tengen.
