Sae had been on many missions nonstop. She was getting restless. She currently sat at a food stand in a town, waiting for her food patiently. It was a dark night, she had just come back from a mission. She was going back to the butterfly estate to rest but decided to eat first. She doesn't know the last time she actually slept. It's been months of just fighting, napping, eating, and so on. She was starting to miss her friends. Including Sanemi, she missed him a little extra. She noticed he's being distant for some reason. Anytime Sae would interact with him, he was either rude or silent. Sae never really minded the rudeness of his words cause he always made it up for his actions. Like the time when he shared his ohagi with her, after he said some pretty harsh things to her. Sae thought for a while that Sanemi didn't want her around so she would leave him be, but he would approach her no matter what Sae was doing and he would be there in her presence. Sometimes making conversation sometimes not saying anything at all.

Sae even asked Sanemi if they were friends, and he did in fact say yes, along with saying 'you're not as annoying as everyone else'. He was honest with her but never too honest. If he was he would've said he really enjoyed her company. He would've said he liked her calm voice. He would've told her how pretty she was. Of course he does in his own way. He would tell her to talk about anything just so he could hear her speak. He would say her  appearance didn't actually look like shit.  He would train with her just to see how well she is doing and then act like she needs improvement. He says cruel things to her to make her tough. He really just wants to see how see will react. He's always impressed when she doesn't take offense to anything he says. Sae hadn't known it yet but she likes him a lot.

Sae could smell the delicious combo of meat and vegetables coming her way, as the cook gave her the bowl of soup, she smiled brightly and thanked the cook. As Sae ate she noticed something odd. The people in this town dressed oddly. She didn't even think of her surroundings, she was too focused on getting food. Now she sees everyone wearing old fashioned clothing. Then she noticed an oddly very well dressed boy walking down the street. The boy's characteristics were bold enough for her to remember. His light blue long hair, his red eyes were almost plum like. She was too distracted her food was getting cold. She took her gaze off the little boy and began to eat. As she was slurping the last of the juice, Tani interrupted rudely. CAW CAW LOWER MOON DEMON IN THE AREA CAW CAW. Sae spit out her soup as she began to cough it out due to her chocking on it. "Tck seriously..... I can't get a break can I? Tani are there any hashira around to help"? IM AFRAID NOT AT THE MOMENT ACCORDING TO MY KNOWLEDGE THIS TOWN DOESNT EVEN EXIST. Sae was shocked, confused even. "What do you mean doesn't exist? It's just a normal town. This is all a bit odd". Sae was starting to get nervous. A lower moon was here and she was the only one there to stop it. The question was, could she do it? Sae has fought many demons, a lot in fact, but none were exactly strong, besides the little demon she fought a while back. "Alright Tani, looks like i'm going to stay here and work on a mission please let Kagaya know". CAW CAW YOU CAN DO IT SAE ILL BE BACK WITH NEWS FROM THE MASTER CAW CAW. Sae gave her empty bowl back to the cook and walked off to find somewhere to stay. If it's a lower moon it'll be hard to track it down. So she'll need some rest before figuring out a plan.

Luckily Sae found a cute little building to lay low in. The old lady who owned the place was nice and more than happy to give Sae a room. Sae was welcome with a small room with a bed, a table and a big window, which was the wall itself, the breeze of the warm wind came through. It was a nice night. Sae yawned, thinking it would be best to just sleep in her uniform, in case the demon were to strike tonight. Sae layed her sword next to her, looked at the crescent moon, kissed her hand, and drifted off to sleep.

Morning came, Sae awoke by the sun barely rising. It was odd, no disturbances through the whole night. She hasn't sensed anything either. This town seems just fine. Though she wouldn't leave without knowing more. Sae rose from her bed and went to the main room for some breakfast. Sae's breakfast mostly consisted of green tea and milk bread. Ever since she was little that's what her favorite breakfast was. Sae sat down with her food as she placed her sword behind her. " Young lady I didn't realize you were a demon slayer my apologies". The old lady said as she walked in. "Oh no need, you know about demon slayers"? Sae questioned only cause not everyone knows about them. " Well yes, this town is cursed, for some reason it's a place where they like to come and go and by your uniform I recognized it from the last group that was here and that sword is familiar too". Sae was taken back by what she just said. "Ma'am? You recognize this sword"? She asked while holding it up. "Yes a young boy had it, he was here with two others. They were just the sweetest people, I don't remember the name though". Sae was more and more intrigued. "Was his name Suyoshi? Ma'am please it's important. Was his name Suyoshi"? The old lady thought for a minute. "Suyoshi.... yes I believe that was the young man's name". Sae couldn't believe it, if that's true then this lower moon was responsible. At that moment so many thoughts were going through her head. She was starting to lose her composure. She ran outside wanting to figure out more. Her emotions were everywhere. She couldn't think straight. She began to cry and hyperventilate. She was holding on to a wall in an alleyway. She was trying to get ahold of herself, eventually she calmed down. When he died and she got the news they didn't find the body, just his sword. The very sword Sae has now. She wasn't going to leave this town without eradicating the lower moon.

Sae spent the whole day talking to different people about odd things that they have noticed. They only said outsiders and demons vanish from time to time. From the information Sae gathered this lower moon doesn't like people or demons coming to this town. The strangest part is when Sae would ask what the name of the town was, the people didn't know, they looked confused but also unbothered. Sae also hadn't heard back from Tani either. It was nearly night time. Sae was getting paranoid. She walked along the streets trying the sense this thing but nothing. Sae walked all over but still not a single thing out of line. She was heading back to the middle of town. Sae stopped, she felt something prick her arm. It felt as if she was stung by a bee, she brushed it off as if it was nothing. She continued to walk to town.

Lower moon Pov

I was walking as I always do. Like clockwork, everything is the same. Not a single thing out of place. My head is pounding, something isn't right. Mother won't stop yelling at me. "Ahh my head, dammit mother shut up". When I realized what she was yelling at. I was pissed. "Tck a demon slayer in my town again! Don't they ever give up? I just want my home to be left in peace". I need to please mother, I will get rid of this vermin. I sneak passed her and prick her with my venom. It shouldn't be long till she'll be dead. She seems strong but she's no hashira I should be fine.

Sae's Pov

I start to feel a tingling feeling in my arm. I look at the area and it's definitely no bee sting. The whole area is turning purple. What is this? Poison i'd assume. I should be fine, Tengen taught me how to reject poison, it shouldn't last long. I've been attacked and I didn't even realize. The demon knows i'm here and he didn't let himself be known to me. I don't know what to do, how will I find it. If it's a lower moon they should've sent a hashira a long time ago.

I began walking the streets once again trying to find anything out of the ordinary. Then there it was. Not a sense, not a feeling, it was him. I couldn't believe it. I came to a stop. I couldn't believe my eyes. He was looking right at me. I felt my body begin to tremble. My breathing picked up. My eyes started to water. There's no way, how is this possible. I recognize his face. I remember every detail. It was him, he's alive right here, right in front of me. I start to rush towards him, through the crowds of people. I lose sight of him. I look around frantically until I see him walking away towards the forest. I quickly follow after him. What is he doing?!

~Taisho Secrets~

•Tani informed Kagaya of what Sae was up to but grew worried. Tani was on her way back to Sae with a message but couldn't find the town. As if it never existed.

•The lower moon has schizophrenia so he talks to himself but that doesn't stop him from being able to harm anyone.

•Back when Sae was training with Tengen, he taught her how to reject poison it took a long time but she knows how to handle it just barely though.
