Sae's Pov

I was at a loss of words. I've done it, i've obtained a breathing technique. I would've never thought of Ice breathing. I wonder why that is. Everyone is different, my breathing style is branched off by one of the original elements. Now this is where my hard work is put to the test. After working with many amazing people and practicing on my own, I'm now ready for the final selection. I'm doing this for you Suyoshi, my parents as well. I will not hesitate to do what needs to be done.

I began walking to Ubuyusiki's mansion. It's time for me to leave for the final selection and I need to say my goodbyes. It was early in the morning when I began walking with Tani not too far ahead. I arrived to the mansion, heading straight for the garden to meet Kagaya. Once my eyes meet him, I smile sadly. His left eye seems to be getting worse. I know it's painful, in a way I can feel it through him. He still manages to work through the pain, which is very impressive. I bow to him, I would hug him but seeing as I am now a demon slayer I now work for him. I shouldn't be informal with him unless he decides it. "Good morning Sir, I hope you are well, I've come to inform you that i'm off to the final selection". I didn't notice it at first but Kagaya seems to have a few boxes next to him. "My child I am well, I'm surprised with you, You're more formal now. I was hoping for a hug but I see that you want to be respectful. No matter, what my health state may be or the change in formalities, I do hope to always be welcomed with a hug". I smile at what he said. "Of course Sir". Kagaya calls for Amane. She comes out with one of her children holding a special wrapped box in her hands. "Sae I wanted to give you some good luck for your journey. These two boxes I have are just food for your long trip that Amane and myself have prepared for you. This one that Amane has is something special i've requested her to make. It symbolizes many things". She hands me the small box and I open it to see a two silver bells with a light baby blue ribbon attached to each one. "These bells are filled with wisteria oils, it'll nullify any demon hexes towards you, they also symbolize as a personal favor to the Ubuyusiki Family. When others see this they will know you are to be respected and honored. I hope you like them. It was thanks to Amane that we were able to make these special for you". I was in awe. This was an honorable gift. " I thank both of you, not just for these but for everything. I can't ever repay you, I am so grateful to both of you". Amane smiles as she hugs me. "No need to repay us, just do your best Sae. You will always have a home here and people who care, don't forget that. I wish you luck". She says as I embrace her arms that hugged me. I looked at Kagaya and hugged him as well. "I should be going now thank you again". I grab the boxes and put them in a small bag and I put the bells in my hair as they jingle. "Goodbye Sae, good luck my child".

CAW CAW THIS WAY SAE CAW CAW. I follow Tani along the path. My view of the mansion gets smaller and smaller. I would be lying if I said I didn't feel nervous but I do. Along the way I spot a familiar white haired man ahead. "Sanemi i'm glad I got to see you before I left, How are you"? Sanemi stands with his back to me. This would be our first time actually seeing each other. He slowly turns to me but doesn't seem to say anything. "Wow your scars healed up nicely, they look good". I say with a straight face. "Yeah they always do, where are you headed to". He finally says something. "Final selection". Was all I said. "Oh I see, good luck then". CAW CAW SAE DOESNT NEED LUCK SHES THE BEST AND-. Sanemi swings his sword at the bird to shut her up. "Oi shut up"! I had to hide a faint laugh at the situation. "I'll be on my way now, I hope to see you again Sanemi". Since his last name is too long he allowed me to call him by his first name which I respected. I began walking away, not knowing that Sanemi was watching me the whole time.
