Luke: his pov

I walked into the kitchen and peeked out into the living room, Emma and her friends were all in a circle just talking, and looking on their phones.

"Oh my gosh, Em. Luke looks really good in this picture." One of them said, so I smiled, and continued listening. I know I shouldn't eavesdrop, but they were talking about me. I couldn't help it.

"You're so lucky. Luke is hot." Another said, and I smiled again. "Yeah. Okay." She nervously laughed. "I bet he has rock hard abs under that shirt that he never takes off." Somebody laughed, and than Emma looked up. "Yeah not really." She said as if she weren't impressed.

My smile faded a bit, but I kept listening. "Well. I don't think that boy has ever had a zit in his entire life." A blonde girl with her hair in a pony tail said. "That's where you're wrong.." Emma said, and I frowned.

I got up, and walked up the stairs. I couldn't compare to other guys. I took off my shirt once I got to our room, and looked in the mirror. I frowned, and poked at my sides. My back wasn't toned, and I had love handles. I covered my stomach with my arms, and looked at my face that has broken out so many times. I wonder if it bothers Emma when I have acne. I never thought that my weight or blemishes would have an effect on her opinion on me.

"Hey Luke. The g- what are you doing?" She asked, so I turned around, and saw her standing at the door with her friends behind her. "Can I talk to you for a minute?" I asked, and she nodded, telling her friends to just hang out for a second.

She closed the door, and walked over to me. "Does it ever bother you that i don't have a great body? I mean, I know you love me, but I know I don't look like Ashton or Calum who have like the greatest bodies, and I know I don't always have perfect skin like Michael..." I said, and she pushed her bottom lip out.

"What would make you think like that?" She asked, and I shrugged. "I heard you and your friends talking about me." I said, and she sighed. "Listen. I only made you sound not all that great because I didn't want them talking about how good looking you are. You're mine, and I don't like you getting attention from other girls." She said, and hugged me tightly.

"You're amazing Luke, and you're so much better than what you give yourself credit for. Don't put yourself down."
