I walked into the room and saw Luke with his head in his hands, a bag by his side, and a vase full of flowers on the table in front of him.
"Alex, baby. I need to talk to you." He said, and wiped his red eyes, sniffling.
"Luke? What's wrong?" I asked, setting down my purse and walking over to him.
"You know how I went out with that girl Victoria because thought she was giving me a job offer?" He asked, and I nodded slowly. "W-Well we went to get a drink, and I got a little tipsy, a-and we went back to her place, but-"
"You had sex didn't you?" I asked, already feeling the frustration and hurt building up inside of me.
"N- i dont know.. Y- please-"
"You did." I said, and laughed dryly, shaking my head at him.
"No Alex. Please l-"
"I'm going out." I spat, and picked up my bag, walking away from the guy who told me he loved me everyday for the past five years.
-
I looked over the next morning, but Luke wasn't there.
Jake was there.
I stood up, and quickly put my clothes back on my naked body before Jake woke up.
If Luke can have sex with whoever he wants, so can I.
I grabbed my phone and saw I had 14 missed calls from Luke, 48 unread messages from him, along with 18 missed calls from Michael, 12 from Calum, and 8 from Ashton.
I sighed, and turned my phone back off, walking the short distance down the street back to me and Luke's shared house.
Jake lived right up the street, and used to be a really good friend, until I met Luke of course.
I opened the door, and I was surprised at what I saw.
Ashton was sleeping on the floor, Calum was on the love seat, and Luke was cuddled into Michael's chest.
I sat down my stuff, and walked into the living room.
"Alex!" Luke yelled, and stood up quickly. He ran over to me, and hugged me tightly, burying his head in my neck.
"Luke get off. I just came to get some stuff for a while." I said, and his grip loosened. "What?" He asked, and looked at me, his eyes already softening.
"I'm staying with Jake. We confirmed it last night." I said, and smirked, crossing my arms. "You what?" He asked, and backed up a little.
"You cheated, so can I. Now I'm staying with Jake." I said, and he shook his head. "You guys didn't.."
"We did." I said, and his lip trembled. "No- No you didn't. Don't lie to me, alex!" He yelled, and backed further away from me causing the boys to wake up.
"Yes Luke we did. I can do what I want. We're over." I said, and he shook his head quickly with tears spilling from his eyes.
I watched as he darted up the stairs, pulling at his hair.
"Alex please tell me you did not cheat on him." Michael said, and I shrugged. "What's going on?" I asked.
"Alex, Luke never cheated on you. That's not what happened. He needed you last night." Ashton said, and my smirk fell, and I immediately regretted everything. Even if he did cheat, I shouldn't have gotten back at him like that.
"What?" I asked.
"That girl Victoria? She drugged his drink, and took advantage of him." Calum said, and I didn't reply, but just bolted up the stairs.
"Luke!" I cried, and ran into our shared bedroom. I quickly sat on the bed beside him, and hugged him as he sobbed into his hands.
"Luke- I- I'm so sorry, and I know that doesn't help, but- oh my g- Luke I'm sorry. I thought you had cheated so I knew we were over, so I wanted to try to get over you by being with someone else, but I didn't- I thought- I should've listened to you. I'm so stupid." I cried, and he held onto me, sobbing on my shoulder.
"I needed you last night." He whispered, and I let his hair soak up my tears. "Alex I needed you."
I laid down, and brought him with me. He sobbed uncontrollably into my chest, and held onto my shirt tightly.
"I should've listened to you Luke. I'm so sorry." I whispered, and held onto him tightly.
"She r-ràped me alex. I got you the flowers, and the bracelet to show that you are mine, and no matter what people like her do, we're always gonna be forever. At least that's what I thought.." He whispered, and I shook my head. "Luke. We are forever." I whispered, and he let out another sob, beginning to shake from crying so much.
"I had two panic attacks last night. I couldn't breathe. I called Michael but I couldn't talk. I needed you here." He cried, and I hugged him tighter knowing how bad his panic attacks got.
"You hurt me, alex. You promised you wouldn't." He cried, and gripped onto the sides of my shirt even tighter.
"Alex I need to go." He whispered, and began to get up.
"Luke, please don't go." I whispered, and he wiped his face off. I could see his legs were wobbly, and he could barely walk with his blurry vision.
"Alex, we haven't even had our first time yet. I don't want that day to come, and have to be insecure thinking if the other guy was better than me, or if he made you feel better than I can." He said, and I looked down.
"Luke, please..."
"We'll talk later. I'm going to Michael's house."
