It was my first time seeing 5sos in person, and I was beyond excited. I was allowed to bring a friend but I'm not close with anyone.
I won a contest, and I got to spend time with the boys before their concert. I was mainly looking forward to seeing Michael. He's always been the one the I read fan fiction about, and drooled over.
I smiled like an idiot as I stepped into their dressing room, and saw all of the boys playing video games, and just doing random stuff.
"Guys. This is Carter, the contest winner." Their manager explained as all the boys eyes drifted over to me. They all greeted me, and I couldn't help but run over, and give Michael a hug. It's crazy to think one person could help you so much with your self image problems, but he did. Michael makes me feel beautiful with all of his encouraging tweets.
"Woah!" He said, and held his hands in the air, not hugging me back. "Hey back off! Don't you know anything about personal space?" Calum said, and got me off of Michael.
I looked around the room, and people were looking at me. "I-I I'm sorry I d-d-d"
"Spit it out!" Michael spat, and straightened out his shirt.
I felt so small, and my face turned red. My eyes welled up because this was embarrassing. Thirty seconds into meeting them and I've already messed up.
"I'm so sorry." I whispered, and wiped my eyes. I looked down, and turned away from them. I just wanna go home.
"Maybe next time they'll pick someone who is respectful and not so immature." I heard Ashton mumble.
I hate myself.
Why did I do that? I just love him so much, and I was exited. I didn't mean to make a big scene.
"Where's the exit?" I asked Luke since he hadn't said anything bad about me.
"Why?" He asked. "Because I didn't know I was being disrespectful, and this is embarrassing. I just wanna go home." I cried. He placed his hand on my back, and led me over to a corner of the room.
"You weren't disrespectful. Their egos are just too big. They think they're too good for anyone." Luke said, and hugged me. I cried into his shoulder as he held me tightly.
"You're a beautiful girl, Carter. You don't need to cry." He said, and rubbed my back. I held onto his waist. "You know. I still love getting hugs from fans." He said, and I smiled.
"You really are beautiful, and I want this to be the only time I see you cry." He said, and pushed a piece of hair behind my ear. "The only time? Are you hinting that I'm gonna see you again?" I asked playfully, and he smiled. "I think I am." He said, and slipped my phone out of my back pocket.
I watched as he put in his number. "You promise you won't give anyone my number?" He asked, and I nodded. "Why would I give your number to anyone when I could have you all to myself?" I asked, and he laughed a long with me.
"Text me okay? I really wanna see you again."
