He was wearing a black choker with tiny spikes and a silver cone earring on his left ear. There was a dark mark on the left side of his neck; dark enough to be a tattoo. I couldn't make out what it was though. His red shirt looked murky, almost black like his trousers in the nearly lightless area. His red and black curls bounced back as he flung his head up to get a look at me, a grin plastered across his face.
Seliel walked towards Morro, the guard following her.
"Enjoy." She put her right hand on Morro's left shoulder and sniggered at me. She departed with a wink, clicking her heels against the floor.
Click, clack, click, clack.
Creeek!
The door closed.
Cole and I exchanged looks of confusion and disgust as we watched Morro stumble upon his own feet and walk into the room with a translucent, green, glass bottle in his hand. Thankfully, Seliel had left the door half open for light to pass through. Without it, we would have been staring into the dark abyss.
Morro raised the bottle and took a huge gulp. It was silent among us except the nonstop gulping and faded rock music playing in the background. Morro chugged down the whole bottle, regardless of how drunk he already was.
"Ahh..." He finally lowered the empty bottle from his face, taking a long breath. "Want some, bae?"
Bae? I shockingly looked at Cole. At first, I was definitely wondering what he was going to do, but after hearing that, I wished I didn't know. I knew where it was going and I wasn't liking the looks of it. It was exactly what I feared since the beginning of my time there.
I looked at Morro, awkwardly. Even Cole seemed to be disturbed by his tone and expressions. They were quite repulsive.
"Hmm?" Morro fell on the bars, right in front of me, wanting a response.
I flinched at his fervent action while he lackadaisically smiled, looking right into my eyes.
"Sorry, sorry." He laughed, his voice cracking a few times.
I stared at him annoyed and bewildered. I watched his earring swing back and forth as he moved his head around. Suddenly, he raised the bottle above his head.
Smash!
He hit the bottle on the ground, breaking the bottom of it off.
Cole and I both flinched, closing our eyes.
Great.
Now he possessed a weapon and was drunk.
"Didn't mean to startle you." Morro pulled out a key from his left pocket, unintentionally making music with the chain hanging from his pants. "I just came for a little taste, y'know?"
The sound of the keys dangling in between his left thumb and index finger accompanied the short and awkward silence among us.
Clink, crutch–
The cell opened.
Morro invited himself in.
He paused, taking a moment to examine Cole. I watched him fumble over his own legs, standing right in front of him.
Cole looked up at him.
Morro suddenly fell forward, instantly hitting his left hand on the wall behind Cole to stop himself from falling on him. The bottle clinked between the wall and his palm.
