I dragged my bruised feet to wherever the guards took me. They opened a door. I squinted, letting my eyes meander around in the long bright hall. Unlike Charlie, it was my first time out of the apartment that I had always been in since the start. Just before I could blink after finishing gazing, the guard who constantly pointed a gun at my head pushed me forward into a room on my left which the guard ahead of me had opened. The man behind me poked the muzzle of the weapon right between my shoulder blades. I flinched feeling the cold weapon against my warm skin.
I looked around, admiring the white lights in the huge glass room within the left corner of the apartment I walked into. The rest of the place was almost completely dark.
My attention diverted to the lady sitting in front of a desk with buttons littered all over it. She spun her rolling chair around to look at me as I was led forward towards the glass room. She wore all white and glasses rested on her nose. I read the nametag pinned to the left of her chest, reading 'Amiya'. A strand of hair slipped out of her messy brunette bun as she immediately turned back and looked at her iPad which rested in front of her on the desk, leaning against the wall behind it.
I read 004's badge as he walked by me to open the door of the glass chamber. They shoved me in. I caught my balance just before I tripped over my own contused feet.
Click.
They shut the door on me.
I silently stood in the chamber lit with pot lights above me. I stared out at the woman walking in, feeling special being under a spotlight.
The blonde haired chick looked up. Her eyes tinted grey in the dark as her heels stopped clicking against the floor when she paused.
"Hi, Cole." She smiled. "Welcome to my Torture Chamber."
I stayed silent.
"Did you know? She walked towards the lady dressed in white, sitting against the edge of the buttoned counter. "Those walls are a thick layer of borosilicate glass. Which is known for resisting breakage caused by extreme temperatures."
Oh.
I stayed firm in my spot, my feet planted on the ground. My heart slowly began to beat faster.
I did not like the sounds of where that was going...
"Do you believe me?" She tilted her head right, putting her index finger on her lips.
I stayed silent, scared and confused of what was going to happen next.
"I'll show you." She raised her hand, flicking her black fringes at me while she looked at the lady with glasses.
The lady in white pressed a button in front of her, looking at me just after she did.
Vmmmmm.
I felt the vibration of something turn on. Just as it did, I immediately ran towards the glass wall in front of me.
"Wait! No! I believe you! Seliel!" I banged the glass.
"Oh. It is breakable, but it's too thick for your bare hands, Cole." She looked at me straight faced.
"No!" I felt my voice pierce my throat as I yelled. "Seliel! Please! Don't do this!"
"Increase it." Seliel stared at me, not breaking eye contact for even a second.
