Kalmin was watching TV when he heard a knock at the door. He looked over to see it was Emily walking in. "Hey!" Emily greeted "Hey, what are you doing here?" Kalmin asked "I wanted to check up on you, also" Emily lifted up a takeout bag "I got you some actual food." Kalmin grinned, "Good. I'm tired of hospital food." Emily giggled and passed him his food as she moved the table closer to him. She watched as he ate, making him glance at her confused. "You didn't get anything?" Kalmin asked "No, I wanted to get you something. I'll wait until we get home." Emily replied Kalmin shook his head and stabbed his fork into his food, before holding the fork up to her mouth. Emily giggled and shook her head as she pushed his hand back. "That's yours!" Emily tells him "And I'll decide what I want to do with it! Here!" Kalmin tells her Emily sighed before opening her mouth as he fed her. She beamed at how good the food was as he smiled that she listened to him. "How are you feeling?" Emily asked "A lot better. My fever is gone but my mind is racing at everything that happened yesterday." Kalmin tells her "I bet you are hurt about it." Emily replied "Imagine being manipulated by someone who you thought was single, only to find out that they were married the whole time and you didn't know." Kalmin told her Emily moved a strand of his hair out of his face as she smiled softly at him. He smiled softly back at her as he fed her another bite of his food. "How's the case going?" Kalmin asked "We're running on some leads but other than that, not much is going on." Emily answered Kalmin nodded as he finished the food, which Emily tossed away the trash for him. He sighed as he looked at her with a hurt expression on his face. "I can't believe that happened. I feel so stupid." Kalmin tells her He covered his face with his hands, making Emily grab them and pull them away. He glanced into her brown eyes as she tried to console him. "Hey, you are not stupid. JJ is the one at fault for this and no one is mad at you about this. You were forced into having sex with her and you were forced to keep it a secret even though JJ told me about it as soon as she got home." Emily explained "Really?" Kalmin asked "Yeah! Called, telling me how amazing you were and how she would do it again." Emily replied Kalmin felt embarrassed talking about this with her and looked away from her. His ears turned red as he grew shy, and Emily couldn't help but find it cute. Her eyes widened as she shook the thought away and smiled at him. "I thought I should tell you that they also have a kid together." Emily informed him Kalmin's eyes widened, "What?" "Yeah, his name is Henry. He's 4 years old." Emily told him "Wow. I can't believe she would do that to her kid as well. I hope he doesn't find out for his sake." Kalmin tells her "I understand completely." Emily replied Kalmin's phone buzzed on the counter making them both look at it. Emily stood up and walked over, grabbing it, to see a message from someone named Orson. "Someone named Orson texted." Emily informed him "Can you read it to me?" Kalmin asked "He asks if you are ok and if you need him and the boys to come." Emily tells him "Tell him no and I'm ok, please." Kalmin tells her Emily nodded and replied to his text before placing it on the table in front of him, so he could answer any texts he receives. She sat back down on the bed with him as they talked until she had to leave.

The case was done and Kalmin was allowed to leave. He signed himself out as he walked over to Derek, who was waiting to take him to the airport. They walked out together and headed to the airport as Derek asked him a question. "How you doing, regarding the whole JJ situation?" Derek asked Kalmin sighed, "I'm not going to lie, I feel stupid for letting her manipulate me." "It's not your fault. You have nothing to feel stupid about. She chose to do that to you, Will, and Henry and now she has to deal with the consequences." Derek explained to him Kalmin nodded as they pulled into the airport and headed towards the jet. When he walked on, everyone smiled at him, glad to see him up and out of the hospital. JJ, however, was avoiding him because she didn't want to cause any trouble with him. He was glad about it because he didn't want to deal with the bullshit he suffered because of her. Kalmin sat down across from Spencer as he was playing with a chess board. Kalmin smirked to himself as he began moving the white pieces to their spots, making Spencer look up at him in surprise. He then began to smile as the two began to play a couple games of chess. Emily, JJ, and Derek eventually began watching as they were trying to see who would win the game. "How did you know how to play chess?" Spencer asked "My grandfather loved playing it and I guess I was interested in it that he taught me how to play." Kalmin answered him "That's cool!" Spencer replied Kalmin smiled at him as he moved a piece and removed one of Spencer's. David and Aaron watched with a smile as they watched the new guy get along well with the team. "Did Orson reply?" Emily asked Kalmin nodded, "Yeah, he said he was going to come to Virginia to come surprise me with the others." "Who's Orson?" JJ asked "My friend from Korea." Kalmin replied "How many is there in this friend group?" Derek asked "Me included, eight." Kalmin replied "Wow!" Emily exclaimed Kalmin chuckled at her reaction, making her blush a little bit. Kalmin moved his piece and stood up in victory. "Checkmate!" "What?"
