It was the funeral of Kalmin's dad, Kaius, and Kalmin was in his apartment getting ready. He wasn't ready for all the emotions and pain that was going to come from it. He sighed as he finished getting ready. He began putting his shoes on as he saw Soonie trot over to him. He smiled and began petting the cat as he looked at him. "You're lucky you don't have to deal with these kinds of things." Kalmin muttered Soonie purred as he rubbed against Kalmin's leg as he stood up from his couch. A knock on the door, grabbed his attention and made him walk to the door. He looked through the peephole and saw Emily standing outside. He opened the door and she couldn't help but marvel at the suit and his just overall look.

"Hey!" Kalmin greeted "Hey. You ready to go?" Emily asked "I'm not overly fond of events like these but I'm ready as I'll ever be." Kalmin tells her She smiled at him as he walked out of his apartment. He locked his apartment as they began heading down to her car. "Why are you taking me there anyway?" Kalmin asked "Your mom requested it." Emily told him "Of course she did." Kalmin replied He playfully rolled his eyes as they walked over towards her car. They got in and began heading to the location of the funeral. She began driving and it was quiet the whole ride, but it was comfortable silence. They arrived at the funeral to see the area all set up, except a couple things. Adorah saw the car and walked over to them with a smile. "Look at you! How have you not found a girlfriend yet?" Adorah asked "I don't think now is the time to discuss that." Kalmin tells her Adorah nodded, "You're right! Come on!" Kalmin and Emily followed Adorah to the event to see a lot of Kalmin's family and his team members were there, even Will, Henry, and Jack. Adorah placed a hand on Kalmin's back as she smiled at him. "Your father wouldn't want us to be upset but to celebrate his life, so I threw a little party together for family and friends to memorialize his life." Adorah informed him "I like the sound of that." Kalmin told her Adorah smiled, "Have fun!" Emily linked her arm with Kalmin's arm as they began walking towards everyone. Kalmin glanced down at her and gave her a smile, which she returned. "You have a big family." Emily comments "You get used to it after a while. Holidays are a nightmare though." Kalmin tells her Emily giggled as Aaron walked over to them. Aaron shook hands and hugged Kalmin, not before introducing Jack. Kalmin hadn't met Jack or Henry yet, so he was just trying to get to know the kids. Kalmin removed his arm from Emily and knelt down to Jack's level. "Hi there! My name is Kalmin!" Kalmin introduced himself Aaron and Emily smiled as they watched Jack smile at him. Jack then giggled as he heard his name for the first time. "You have a funny name!" Jack comments "Well, it's unique. I mean, Derek sounds boring, don't you think?" Kalmin joked Jack giggled as Kalmin held a finger up to his lips to tell him to not say anything. Jack nodded as he showed Kalmin his favorite toy. "That's super cool!" Kalmin comments "He brings it everywhere." Aaron tells him Kalmin stood up and linked his arm back with Emily's. Jack ran off to go play with Henry as everyone began to party. Kalmin led Emily over to where some of his family was. "This is Grandma Somali." Kalmin introduced "Let me get a look at you!" Somali says Somali stood up from her chair and hugged Kalmin tightly, making him hug her back. She then looked to Emily and gasped at how beautiful she was. "My dear, you are stunning!" Somali compliments "Oh uh thank you!" Emily replied "Are you together?" Somali asked "No, grandma! We are just friends." Kalmin told her "Remember the phrase that your mother tells you!" Somali reminded him Kalmin smiled as he led Emily away from his grandma. He loved her, but she was too energetic to be honest. "Sorry about her! She can be nosy sometimes." Kalmin tells her "Don't worry about it! I think she's super sweet!" Emily tells him Kalmin smiled as they walked around the field that they were using for the party. Emily watched each of his family members to get a glimpse of what his life was like. Other than losing his father, he had a pretty good life and family. Everyone was close and happy as she heard a couple of his aunts laugh at stories they were telling about his father. "You thirsty?" Kalmin asked "Yes!" Emily replied They walked over to the refreshments table and got themselves a drink. Kalmin got a bottle of Soju as Emily got red wine. "Emily?" Kalmin and Emily looked over to see woman standing there. Emily's eyes widened as she saw someone she forgot that would be here. "Mom? What are you doing here?" Emily asked "What do you mean, I am friends with Adorah! Who's this?" Elizabeth Prentiss asked Kalmin held his hand out, "Kalmin Lee, Ma'am!" Elizabeth's eyes widened, "Adorah's son?" "Yes, ma'am!" "My! You have grown up! I barely recognized you!" Elizabeth told him "My mom is with Aaron Hotchner if you want to see her." Kalmin told her "Yes! I will talk to you guys later!" Elizabeth replied Elizabeth walked away making Emily sigh in relief. Kalmin couldn't help but chuckle at her troubled expression. "Don't laugh! You don't know what it's like to have a mom who questions your every move!" Emily scowls "I'm sorry! What's the baddest thing she's done?" Kalmin asked "She's set me up date after date because she wants me married." Emily replied "Wow! Didn't expect that one!" Kalmin spoke "See?" Emily asked "Ok! Have you told her that you don't want her to do that?" Kalmin asked "Yes! Several times!" Emily tells him "Maybe you should just lie to her! Tell her that you already have someone!" Kalmin suggested "That won't work!" Emily tells him "It was worth a shot." Kalmin tells her "What about you? Have you been looking?" Emily asked "I have. I just don't want what happened with JJ to happen again." Kalmin tells her "Any luck?" Emily asked Kalmin shook his head, "I want to be close with the person first before I start anything." "Have any options pop up?" Emily asked Kalmin chuckled, "dangsin-eun simjieo molla.(You don't even know.)" Kalmin walked away before she could ask what that meant. Her eyes were wide as she was confused on what he said. What did he mean? Was it anything good?
