  Kalmin sat on the plane, reading a book, with Derek next to him and Spencer across from him with JJ next to him. Kalmin had his arm resting on the table as he read, not knowing the look he was getting from a certain blonde woman. He was so focused on his book that he wasn't paying attention to anyone, except his book.
  "Kalmin."
  Kalmin looked up from his book to see who he was talking to. He looked over to see it was David talking to him.
  "I heard you were raised in a rich family. How was that?" David asked
  Everyone looked at Kalmin with surprised expressions as he was nervous about this conversation. He began to scratch the back of his neck out of anxiety.
"I am an only child so it was easy for my parents to give me the life they wanted. Once I became of age to make my own decisions about my future, they backed off to let me do what I wanted. They were worried about my being in the field but they will call and check up on me every now and then." Kalmin explained
"What do your parents do?" Spencer asked
  "Mom was a lawyer and dad was a doctor." Kalmin replied
  "Wow!" Derek exclaimed
  Kalmin nodded as he looked back down at his book. Emily walked out of the bathroom and leaned on the seat behind Kalmin and leaned over to see what he was reading. He could feel her breathing down his neck and looked at her, confused.
  Emily giggled, "Sorry. I was just curious at what you were reading."
  Kalmin nodded, "I am reading actually one of Rossi's books. My mom got me the full set when I was a teen, and I haven't gotten around to reading them until now."
  "Your mom has taste." David comments
  Kalmin grinned at the comment as he flipped the page. Emily stayed where she was as her and Kalmin whispered back and forth. JJ glanced at the two with a jealous look, as Derek and Spencer glanced at each other with knowing looks as they knew something was going on with those two.

  They landed in California and headed to the station to meet with the Sheriff. Kalmin was in the passenger seat with Aaron driving and Spencer in the back seat with JJ. Kalmin was reading the file as he leaned against his hand on the console. Aaron looked over at Kalmin and thought he could get to know him a little more.
"What was it like in Korea? Never been, but Rossi says it's beautiful." Aaron asked
Kalmin looked up from his file and looked at him with a small grin. He finally got to talk about his home country, and he was happy that they were curious about it.
"It's a beautiful place but it does have its own history, that you have to live there to understand." Kalmin replied
Aaron nodded, "I was going through some files and I realized that I had worked alongside your mother before."
  Kalmin's eyes widened as he looked at him with shock. He didn't know that at all but knew his mom and dad moved to America, because she had a better job offer here when he was born.
  "I didn't realize it until now. She had showed me pictures of you as a baby, and even a little video of you when you were a toddler. You have an amazing mother." Aaron continued
  "Gamsahabnida(thank you)." Kalmin replied
"What does that mean?" JJ asked
"Thank you." Spencer replied
Kalmin turned to look back at him with wide eyes for knowing what he said. He didn't think anyone knew Korean at all.
"How?" Kalmin asked
"I have always wanted to learn Korean, so if I butcher it, will you correct me?" Spencer replied
Kalmin nodded, "Of course. If you want, I can teach you the language."
"Really?" Spencer asked
Kalmin nodded as they pulled into the parking lot. Spencer smiled with glee at the offer as he hopped out of the van. They all walked into the station and Kalmin couldn't help but notice a lot more people than at a normal station. The sheriff walked over and greeted everyone as Kalmin looked around the room.
"Welcome! I'm Sheriff Goldberg. Follow me." He told them
They followed him through the bustling people to where they will be working. Kalmin placed a hand on JJ's back to gently push her more ahead of him, as there was a few people walking almost into her as he followed behind her. She smiled appreciatively at him as they got into the room.
"Sorry for the amount of people! We have had people leave left and right and we are training new people." Goldberg informs them
"That's completely fine. Tell us, what do you know about the victims?" Aaron asked
"Inseparable. Never seen those two apart. Some people thought they were a couple but they are twins. Ramona has a boyfriend, we called him in and he should be arriving soon." Goldberg explained
  "Perfect. Thank you." Aaron told him
  Goldberg nodded and walked out of the room as Kalmin sat down next to Spencer and Derek. Kalmin went to say something when his phone went off. He pulled his phone out of his pocket to see it was his mom. He looked at Aaron to see if it was ok to answer, to which he nodded, letting him answer. Kalmin answered and brought the phone to his ear.
  "Annyeong Eomma!(Hi mom!)" Kalmin spoke
  "Annyeong nae agi? Eottohge jinaeyo?(Hello my baby! How is it going?)" She replied
  "Joh-eun! Geulaedo jigeum-eun ilhago iss-eoyo.(good. I am working right now though.)" Kalmin told her
  "O! Joesonghabnida! Naega neol bonaejulge!(Oh! I'm sorry! I will let you go!)" She replied
  Kalmin hung up and put his phone back in his pocket with a sigh. He wished he could talk to her more but he was working.
  "How is she?" Aaron asked
  "Who?" Derek asked
  "She's fine. She was just asking how it was working for this job! I had to tell her I was working." Kalmin replied to Aaron
  He nodded, accepting the answer as Derek was still confused about the 'she' they were talking about.

A/N:

Thought I would clear something's up!

1. Everything that happened between JJ and Kalmin is over. They don't end up together after everything that happened, but they do end up becoming friends as the story goes along. Yay!

2. Spencer and Kalmin are going to have a little bro big bro relationship. Kalmin is going to be the big brother Spencer never had.

3. Emily and Kalmin do not like each other romantically (yet🤭) but it could happen
