Kalmin and JJ arrived back at the precinct and headed to their work room. Aaron and David were nowhere to be found so they thought to wait before they spoke what they found. Derek was playing with a baseball he had brought with him and was tossing it up in the air. He nodded at Kalmin to catch it as he tossed it to him. Kalmin raised his hand and caught it swiftly before tossing it back. JJ's and Emily's eyes widened at the catch as Spencer watched with fascination. Derek caught it and held a hand out to Kalmin as they bro hugged. "You a baseball fan?" Derek asked Kalmin shook his head, "No, one of my friends is and he is a big fanatic. He and I will play catch to help him get better at his catching and pitching." "Nice! You must know the basics of it, right?" Derek asked Kalmin nodded, "Yes. I have good reflexes so I can catch very well and I have a strong pitch." Derek smirked and pat his shoulder, "I host a softball team and I could use a guy like you." Kalmin shrugged, "I don't see why not." "Alright! I will let you know when the next game is." Derek informed him Kalmin nodded and sat down beside Spencer to see him reading. He leaned forward to see what he was reading and grinned lightly. "I love that book." Kalmin complimented Spencer looked up from his book with surprise and smiled at the compliment. He put his bookmark in and closed it and looked at him with interest. "Really? Have you read his recent book?" Spencer asked Kalmin nodded, "Yeah. I read it in like 2 days." Spencer smiled and began to ramble, "I don't usually read fantasy books but when I first read it, I found it super fascinating. Did you know that there over 100 different depictions on vampires? I only knew a couple of them but-" Spencer realized he was rambling and looked down at the floor. He knew how much his rambling annoyed his team sometimes. "Why'd you stop?" Kalmin asked Spencer looked back at him, "What?" "Why'd you stop? I was actually interested." Kalmin repeated Spencer let out a smile at how he was actually interested in his rambles compared to the others. He continued to ramble as the others in the room smiled as they watched Spencer make a friend. JJ walked over to Emily to let the boys have some space. It wasn't long before Aaron and David walked back into the room and looked to JJ and Kalmin. "What did you guys find out?" Aaron asked "Both parents had said something similar about their kids. Both of them were straight A students and did volunteering." JJ explained "That could be the stressor." Derek replied "That's what I had thought." Kalmin told him "Anything else?" David asked JJ gestured to Kalmin, "I learned that Kalmin is a cat person." David raised an eyebrow, "Really?" Kalmin looked at JJ as to wonder why that was important to discuss while they were on a case. She flinched internally at the glare she was receiving from him but decided to continue. "Yeah! He even keeps cat treats in his pocket." JJ continued Kalmin rolled his eyes as he took a sip of his water that he had grabbed. He placed his drink back on the table as he flipped through the file. "I'm a cat person too." Emily states aloud Kalmin looked up at her and gave her a grin as he met the other cat person. She pulled out a picture of her and Sergio and passed it to him. He grabbed it and looked at it with a smile. "What's his name?" Kalmin asked "Sergio." "Unique name." Kalmin replied "How many do you have?" Aaron asked Kalmin cleared his throat, "Three. Shouldn't we be discussing the case." "He's right. Is there anyone we can talk to about the victims?" Aaron asked "Sheriff's daughter and son." Kalmin replied Derek snapped his fingers, "Right. One of the girls was best friends with his daughter." Kalmin nodded as he remembered what the Sheriff had told them. Aaron got up from the table and walked out of the room to what Kalmin's guess was to talk to the Sheriff. Derek tossed his baseball up in the air, catching it, as he looked in Kalmin's direction. "Tell us about yourself. You dating anyone?" Derek asked JJ shot her head in that direction to hear an answer. If he had a girlfriend, she would stop everything she's been doing. Kalmin shook his head, "No, I haven't found the right one, yet." JJ smiled internally about that, which means she can continue what she's doing. She knew it was a bad idea, seeing as she has a Will and Henry, but she couldn't help it. Kalmin was so handsome that she couldn't help herself. Derek nodded, "Understandable. You got a type?" Kalmin shook his head, "No, I'm not picky." "I could set you up." Derek suggested "Thanks but I want to find her my own way." Kalmin replied Derek nodded at his reply as he continued tossing his ball in the air and catching it. Emily was looking at JJ the whole conversation and immediately knew what was going on. She grabbed JJ's arm and dragged her out of the room harshly. They went into the girl's bathroom and Emily let it out on her. "Are you crazy, JJ?! You have a husband and a son at home and you are oozing with sex eyes at Kalmin!" Emily scolded JJ sighed, "I know but I can't help it! He's so attractive and he's kind." "You haven't gotten to know him long enough to know he is as kind as you put him as. Also, if Will heard about this, he will be upset." Emily informed her "Well, he won't find out." JJ told her Emily's eyes widened as her jaw dropped. Was JJ suggesting what she thought she was suggesting? "You want to cheat on your husband and possibly ruin your marriage?" Emily asked, incredulously JJ sighed, "I know it's bad but Will and I haven't done anything since Henry was born and I'm antsy." "Fine. I can't control what you do. You're an adult but if you don't tell him eventually, I will tell Will and Kalmin the truth." Emily informed her JJ nodded as Emily walked out of the bathroom. JJ brought her head into her hands and leaned against the bathroom sink. What was she doing?
