Lost

"To open the arch of destiny."

My eyebrows formed an arch. I don't have any idea about the arch he is saying.

"Arch of destiny? What is that?" Tanong ko sa kanya.

Kumunot ang noo ni Roscoe. He tilted his and met my eyes. "Hindi mo pa alam? I thought you knew because you're the girl—" Hindi niya itunuloy ang sinasabi. "You still don't know about it?!" He realized everything he is doing.

Napahilamos siya ng mukha gamit ang dalawang kamay niya. Nagtinginan naman kami ni Clara at saka bumalik ang tingin ko kay Roscoe na mukhang magpapanic na. He accidentally reveal something.

"You said that the gem is used to open an arch." I said to him.

"Don't you know about the queens who are trap somewhere. That queen are trap in that arch. You need that gem to open that arch and free the queens." He said to us.

I stared at him. "Paano mo nalaman ang tungkol sa mga queens? Anong kailangan mo sa kanila?" seryosong tanong ko sa kanya.

Sigurado akong mayroon siyang gustong makuha sakanila kaya ganito rin siya kainterisado. I'm not ignorant to his hidden agenda. Lahat ng tao mayroong mga sekreto.

Hindi ko lang inaasahan na sobrang mahalaga pala ang batong iyon. To free the queens. The powerful queens. Kaya siguro gustong mahanap iyon ni Heart. So, she could free them.

"Sa akin na lang iyon. But do you want to free them with me? Maybe we could help each other." He offered to me.

Mabilis akong umiling. "Kailangan ko lang 'yung gem." Sagot ko sa kanya.

I smirked at him. "You have a lot of secrets. Alam ba ito ni Bella?" Panunukso ko sa kanya. How dare he use my sister to gain those things.

"No." Alanganin niyang sagot at kinamot pa ang ulo niya. "Hindi na dapat itong malaman ni Bella. Masyadong delikado." He explained. Buti naman at naisip niya 'yan.

"Delikado?" Taas kilay kong tanong sa kanya. Anong ibig niyang sabihin?

"Yes." Walang pag-aalinlangan niyang sagot. I can't tell if he's serious or not. His eyes are mischievous, deep and cold.

Sa ma sagot niya halata mo nang marami siyang nalalaman. He knows the queens, the gem, the restricted area, and that arch of destiny he is saying. Who is he exactly? Ako ang natatakot para kay Bella kung hanggang ngayon ay may nararamdaman pa rin siya para sa lalakeng ito.

"Marami ka pa bang alam na hindi ko alam?" Tanong ko sakanya.

This time, it's him who smirked. "I will not tell you everything. I'll see you again next time, Rose." Sabi niya. He turned his back on us and waved his hand on us.

"Who is that guy, Rose? He seems so mysterious." Clara commented on Roscoe. I agree with her.

Ibinalik lang namin ni Clara ang mga libro sa mga shelves at nagpaalam na sa isa't isa para umuwi na sa mga kanya-kanyang mga bahay. I went home after I bought some dyes.

I'm inside of my room, trying to read the books that I borrowed from the palace. But it seems that my mind in on different place. Perhaps, because of Roscoe's words. He told me a lot of things that I can't understand because he didn't add some explanation.
