Jo's POV

Charles walked into the hotel room looking angry, which made me feel anxious to have to tell him the news. "I have bad news." He says after greeting everyone. I sigh. "Me too, but you go first." I tell him and Carlos is just sitting there listening to us. "I have to go on a mini getaway with Alex for the two days. After the speculations on social media between me and Lando, we have to make it seem more realistic." He says and I just look down. He is going to explode when I tell him. "Yeah, about that, Zak asked me and Lando to be in a PR relationship, because of everything that is going on with the media and for me to be able to keep my job." I say looking at Charles waiting for his reaction. "And I have to go to Monaco with him, for the media to believe that we are actually together." I finished. I can hear Carlos gasp from the other side of the table. "What the fuck! You know I can't trust him around you." Charles said even more angrily. "Mate, calm down, this is not her fault. She also can't trust Alex with you but she does anyway, because that is what is expected of you." Carlos says and I can see Charles face softening. "Yeah, you're right, I'm sorry baby." He says walking over to me and embracing me in a hug. "Me too baby, you know that I love you, you can trust me." I tell him. We talked and then said our goodbyes. "Be safe, I love you and will see you at the next race." He says before giving me a kiss.

I went to my room to pack my things and then said goodbye to Carlos and Rebecca and made my way to Lando's hotel room. I knock on the door and Oscar opens, greeting me with a big smile. "Hi Oscar, you look really happy." I say to him laughing. He laughs, "yeah, just excited to see my girlfriend and I heard the good news about you and Lando." He says. I roll my eyes at him, "you know that it's not real." I tell him. "Yeah I know, but it's still cute." He says laughing and I playfully slap his arm. Lando then appears with his luggage. "Hey, you ready to go?" He asks me and I nod my head. We say goodbye to Oscar and then leave. They took our luggage for us to the car. "Ready?" Lando asks. "As ready as I will ever be." I say as I feel him take my hand in his. We walk out hand in hand and can see flashes of camera's going off. We finally get in the car and drive to the airport. Once we arrived at the airport, Lando opens the door for me and I get out to see a private plane waiting for us. I am thankful that we do not have to fly with other people. We get on the plane and make ourselves comfortable. Lando snaps a selfie of us and posts it to his Instagram story with the caption, 'Monaco with my love' and tagged me. A few seconds later both our phones blow up with notifications and we start to laugh. We take off and a few hours later we land in Monaco. Lando's friend Max came to pick us up from the airport. "It's nice to finally meet you." Max says to me. "Likewise." I say back to him giving him a hug. We drove over to Lando's apartment and put our things in the house. "You can take my room, I will sleep on the couch." Lando says. "No, Lan. It's fine, I can take the couch." I tell him. "Absolutely not, I want you to be comfortable." He says making me blush. "Thank you." I tell him. I go to the room to take a shower and get ready as they told me that we are going out for dinner tonight with Max and his girlfriend. I quickly grab my phone and call Charles, but he doesn't answer. Weird. I send him a text telling him that I arrived safely and put my phone down and start to get ready. I threw on a sun dress and straightend my hair and did a light make up look. I went downstairs and see Lando and Max with some girl, who I assume is Max's girlfriend. "Hi, I'm Pietra, it's so nice to meet you." She says hugging me, and I hug her back. "I'm Jo, and it's really nice to meet you too." I tell her and she smiles sweetly at me. We took a mirror selfie with the four of us and I posted it on Instagram tagging all of them. It feels weird to be so public with Lando, I never got to experience it with Charles. As we were driving I scrolled through Instagram and came across a photo of Alex and Charles on his story, they were on the beach and he was kissing her cheek in the photo. I check my messages and sees that he did read the message I sent him but never replied. I sigh and put my phone away. "You alright?" Lando asked me and I just nod my head smilling at him.

We arrive at the restaurant and there were fans everywhere. We stopped at a few to take pictures with them and then we went inside. It was a lovely night and I really enjoy Max and Pietra's company. I could get used to this, I think to myself.
