3rd pov
It has been a whole month since Cosette last saw Talon. She was worried the entire month, and bored out of her mind, but it wasn't until now that she could actually look for him.
She waited the entire month for her back to heal. It took a lot out of her emotionally, but she needed to wait. Now she could find her best friend.
She took her bike to the canal, first. When she got there, she saw her brother's bike along with 2 others.
Oh, yeah! They took Claire into Trollmarket today, didn't they? She thought to herself.
She shrugged and looked at the sewer grate that was still broken since the battle. It was her best chance at finding Talon. Even though she hated the sewers. That's Bular's fault, though.
Cosette rides her bike through the sewers, calling out for Talon. She was careful to avoid goblins. She rides down a tunnel that seems familiar to her.
Why does this look familiar..? She thinks before the answer pops up. Oh yeah, that's where Bular dragged me and Talon off to.
She guessed it had been an hour or two since she started at the canal. It was already late, but now it was getting dark.
Cosette hesitates to go down the tunnel, knowing there could easily be goblins like last month, but she does anyway.
As she does, she keeps her voice down. This time, she calls out for both Talon and Bular quietly. If the latter was still alive.
"Bular? Talon?" She says as she rolls down the tunnel.
"Cosette!" Talon calls from further down, having heard the girl earlier.
"Talon!" Cosette shouts as she rides in that direction.
When she turns the corner, she sees Bular and Talon.
"You're both alive!" She exclaims happily as she drops her bike.
She runs over to them both, distributing hugs whether the two liked it or not.
"I'm glad you're alive as well." Bular says, albeit hesitantly.
"Have you been safe? No one has hurt you?" Talon says as he inspects her in a swirl of red light.
"I'm fine you crazy dragon." She laughs. "Just a bit of bruises. Although, that healed up well over the past month."
"Cosette." Bular says, grabbing her attention as Talon stops checking over her. "I.. Am sorry. For harming you."
"The bruises? It's fine. What hurt the worst was you saying you did want to be friends." Cosette says, looking up at the troll. "Are you alright? I know Talon is incredible, but surely that blade did some damage."
Bular looks at her in shock before looking away.
"I'm fine. Talon healed my wounds." He says. "To some extent."
"He's still healing, but he will live without me producing any type of bandages." Talon clarifies. "He won't be able to fight yet, but he's strong enough to walk, sort of."
Bular grunts at that, crossing his arms.
"We're working on it." He says in annoyance.
"I'm glad you're alright." Cosette says with a smile before looking around. "You guys haven't been here the whole time, have you?"
"Moving would have gotten us further from you. Besides, if Blinky and Aaarrrgghh did not find us while we were captured, this place is far enough." Talon says.
