3rd pov
Cosette was sitting across from Talon. She was no longer in her troll form, although when she glanced at the ground, which seemed to be some sort of watery mirror, she could see her troll form. She was human, in Talon's eyes. She could only see the troll her when she looked down.
Cosette quietly marveled at the colorful and extravagant shapes all around them. She had never seen anything like it.
"This is your mindscape." Talon's voice echoes around them.
"It did not look like this last time I was here." She says, looking back at her best friend.
"Last time?" He questions.
"Yeah. During some short few minutes when Gunmar had me under his Decimar blade." She says with a shrug. "It was not nearly as brightly colored as this is. I mean, it was probably my mind. What else would it be?"
"I knew I should have killed him earlier. That bastard." Talon growls.
With his sudden rose of anger, red took over most colors.
"Hey, I broke out. He wasn't able to hold me for too long. Mainly because he started threatening to use me to hurt Jim." Cosette says, huffing lowly.
"Well, he can't do that now." Talon says. "And technically, this is both of our mindscapes combined."
"Yeah. Heh. He's not technically a bastard, if you consider how he came to be." Cosette says with a grin, which felt unnatural to her due to her lack of tusks.
The area around her became a lime green with her amusement. Then, soon, most of the area was either a light green or yellow as Talon's anger faded.
"I'm glad you're still here. Alive. You were turned to stone, you know." Talon says.
"Yeah. I could tell." She nods. "So, what exactly does this spell do? I mean, you're here with me, but what does that mean?"
"I am now a part of you. I am you, and you are me. We are one." He says, somewhat vaguely. "You can have control first when we wake up."
"Okay, you're making this way more complicated than it has to be." Cosette says in annoyance.
"Our forms have merged, Cosette. Our souls are merged. The only reason we are separate people in here is because we are slowly separating. The spell saves both of our lives in order to make one new one. And since I was still perfectly healthy, aside from some mental wounds, we are completely separate beings. Do you understand yet?" He says.
"Not really, no. Why are you being so vague?" Cosette says, rolling her eyes.
"Because it's simple." He says in a slightly teasing tone.
"To a dragon who is centuries old." Cosette says, rolling her eyes.
"True, but..." He says, flashing her a tooth grin. "You look hilarious trying to figure it out."
"You fucking brat." Cosette huffs, rolling her eyes.
"Let's catch up on some things, then?" Talon suggests, though there was no hiding his amusement.
"Fine." Cosette huffs in annoyance. "So, who was that dragon you were with?"
"How did you know I was with another dragon?" Talon asks in confusion.
