Kore got back to the house and was mad at herself for being the one that was keeping secrets. Though she was still very upset about the dinner party from hell. She came back and all she heard was sobs. She rushed in to see Bonnie on the couch. "What's wrong?"
"It's gone. My magic it's gone. Jonas, he took it."
"Who the hell is Jonas?"
"Luka's father. They're witches. I used Luka to try to despell the moonstone and I channeled him when I-"
"Did you get his permission to channel him?"
"Well no but-"
"Bonnie, are you joking right now? Do you know how serious that is? You can't do that. Especially if he wasn't prepared. What if he was doing another spell at the time? You could have killed him." Bonnie went on to explain about Greta but then fell into sobs again.
"I didn't- I'm sorry. But he- he took my magic."
Kore walked out of the house and called Fredrik. "Where are you?"
"Why?"
"Is your brother there?"
"Yes."
"Where are you?" He told her and she hung up.
Kore got in the car and drove to where Elijah and the Martins were staying she walked up and Fredrik walked out. "What's wrong?"
"Where is Jonas?" she walked into where they were. She saw Jonas, Luka, and Elijah, "You will go return her magic, now. You had no right!" Fredrik held her back.
"I had every right! She channeled my son without his knowledge. She used him to get information."
"Which is wrong. But wasn't he also using her for information? I told her about the channeling thing. It is my responsibility to teach her magic."
"Well you failed!"
"Pot meet fucking kettle. You think your parent of the year? The only thing that is keeping me from killing you is a ghost named Grace." Jonas and Luka stopped.
"Wait, Grace?"
"Yes. Grace. I can see ghosts. All the time but I've learned to ignore them. She seems nice. Heartbroken. She's asking me to let you go. Begging really." They both looked at each other.
"I can't let go of what she did."
"I'm not asking you too. But you shouldn't be the one to punish her. I will bind her magic. Bind. Not strip. I'll let the binding go casually. Would that satisfy you?" Jonas nodded. "Tomorrow." She looked at Fredrik. "Walk me out."
"My girlfriend is bad ass," he said as she got to her car. She rolled her eyes.
"I've been slacking. So wrapped up in you I didn't even know there were other witches in town. What else has she been doing without me?"
"I don't know. But you'll figure it out. And the binding will help."
Kore got home and went to Bonnie's room. She knocked on the door. She opened the door and went inside to see Bonnie laying on her bed. She turned to see Kore. "Jonas will be coming tomorrow to return your magic," she started off saying. Bonnie looked shocked, "I will be binding it tomorrow. You won't be able to do any more than float feathers and set fires. That should be enough to protect yourself and nothing more. You will understand magic is a privilege."
"How?"
"I spoke to him guardian to parent. Only I have a right to do what he did. And he knows that. I am ashamed of the party I went to and how it ended with a stabbing. I know Elijah is an ancient but they will need him on your side. I found several ways to help Elena. She will have to die. I cannot help that. No one can. But she doesn't have to stay dead. If you let me help you, the right way, I will."
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," Bonnie said and Kore just nodded and left her alone.
She called Fredrik once she got into her room and into her pajamas. "Are you okay?" he asked her. She laid back in her bed.
"Better now. What about you? Are you still with Elijah?"
"No. In fact, I think he's planning on killing me." She sat up on her bed.
"What?"
"Or at least Niklaus, which I wouldn't allow, so I think he plans to kill us both." Her hand slapped over her mouth. She didn't like the idea of anyone hurting Fredrik. But it was heartbreaking to hear his own family had. She knew Elijah had been hurt by them. Fredrik had also told her about Niklaus keeping their siblings daggered in boxes.
"What are we going to do?"
"We?"
"Yes."
"I think we should just focus on the sacrifice. Finding a way to save the doppelganger and having her come back to life. Then I need to find a werewolf and a vampire."
"I mean I know of where one of each is but I can't let you kill them so we need to search."
"Elijah protected the doppelgangers friend from a pack a couple weeks ago."
"What? Who's pack?"
"Your friend, the wolf."
"Mason. Shit, okay. Well maybe we can just grab one of his pack. And we can make a vampire easy enough."
"You're really with me?"
"Yes. I have something to tell you tomorrow. Come by after Jonas does."
"Okay."
Jonas showed up the next day. He gave Bonnie back her magic and she sighed in relief. Kore walked Jonas out. "You keep her away from the Mikaelsons."
"That's what I've been trying to do. But she's more hard headed than her mother. And I didn't really care for her mother."
"But you love her."
"I do. Like you love Luka and Greta. I hope she returns to you."
"Thank you. And did Grace say anything else?" At that moment the ghost appeared next to her.
"She says the ones you love sometimes hurt you the most. And-" She said something else but Kore didn't want to tell him that, "You should expect the unexpected."
"That's not what she said."
"No, but I don't have time to deal with a broken heart," she said and Jonas still didn't understand. He just left.
Kore walked back in and went to Bonnie who was lighting a candle. "Good job, that's all you'll be doing. Hands," she said, holding out her own.
"I learned my lesson."
"No. You did not. Hands," she repeated. Bonnie looked like she thought about defying her but she just sighed deeply and did as she was told. Kore muttered a small level binding spell she knew they used on children. It kept them from doing magic in front of any non witches. But bonnie didn't need to know that. "You can tell your friends Jonas took it away. I will give it back when I think you need it."
