His soothing scent enveloped my senses as he wrapped his strong arms gently around my waist. The warmth of his embrace made me pause and lean back into his chest.

"Come na." He whined softly, resting his chin on my shoulder. His hot breath fanned the skin of my ear, sending a shiver down my spine.

"Almost done," I murmured, continuing to arrange the clothes in the cupboard.

But, he started to pull me back with him, a playful insistence in his movements. "Just
a minute, yaar." I requested.

"No, do this in the morning," he ordered.

With one hand, he shut the cupboard door with a decisive thud, while with the other, he effortlessly scooped me up, cradling me against him.

I let out a small gasp of surprise, followed by laughter, as he carried me to the bed like a baby, as he calls me one.

This had become one of his habits—when he got into bed at night, he needed me by his side, no matter what I was doing or how occupied I was.

As he set me down on the bed, he literally threw himself on top of me, making the mattress dip slightly under our weight.

His head found its place above my chest, and his lower body pressed against mine, grounding me in his presence.

"You're going to crush me." I joked, but the truth was, I loved the way he cuddled me.

Although he was heavy, but the sensation of his weight was comforting. It felt like being wrapped in a warm, protective cocoon.

"I can't help it, baby. I just want you close."

As his words washed over me, I felt myself melting, my resolve crumbling like an ice cream under the sun. The fact that he had started expressing himself to me made me feel content.

He took my hands in his, guiding them to his head, silently asking me to caress his hair. I shifted slightly to make myself more comfortable, threading my fingers through his hair in slow strokes.

"How was your day?" I asked, and he shut his phone, setting it aside. His attention now on me.

"My wife made it great with her surprise visit." He replied, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

He crossed his arms over his chest, that drew my eyes to the way his biceps flexed slightly. I could not help but admire the veins on his hands, that fascinated me to my core.

"You're being so cheesy nowadays." I said, mentally rolling my eyes, though my tone remained soft and teasing.

He pulled back slightly, raising his head to meet my gaze. "I was trying to be romantic here," he protested, a pout forming on his lips.

He pouted. That almost made me want to kiss him so hard!

"Aww, is baby sad?" I cooed, unable to suppress my laughter as I reached out to pinch his cheek.

"Yeah, and now baby is hungry too." He said, winking at me. A smirk played across his lips as his gaze traveled down my face.

It took me a second to realise what he said, but when I did, my mouth dropped open in embarrassment. "Chee, yaar," I exclaimed, slapping his bicep.
