The road stretch ahead, packed with usual morning traffic. Sunlight filtered through the pale winter sky, offering little warmth against the crisp air.

The steady hum of the engine blended with the distant honks as Vikram drove, fingers tapping impatiently against the steering wheel. A quiet curse left his mouth as he switched lanes.

"I told you to leave early," Adhira remarked from the passenger seat, throwing him a side glance.

"Ab tu itni sundar dikhegi toh late hoga hi." He shot back, his tone effortlessly flirty.

[Of course, we'll get late if you look this beautiful]

She shook her head, unimpressed but not unaffected as she continued scrolling her phone. Dressed in a lemon yellow anarkali, her long tresses cascaded in loose curls.

"You're literally glowing like a sunflower," He mused, undeterred. "Bright, beautiful, warm and my favourite."

"Oh god," She groaned, rolling her eyes as she tilted her head back against the seat, but he caught the faintest smile tugging at her lips.

"Shy aara?" His fingers reached out to pinch her cheek lightly.

[Blushing]

Another wave of blush crept her cheeks as his words settled in. She swatted his hand away, turning to the window. "Shut up."

"I'm gonna complain to Papa about you," He said, shifting gears as they inched forward through traffic.

"Zabaan aur haath dono hi zyaada chalne lage hain." He added teasingly.

[You mouth and hands both have been getting too active lately]

"Awww, cry baby." She taunted, reaching over to pinch his cheek this time.

His exaggerated frown made her chuckle but her attention drifted as they entered
the lane to her house.

She reached into her sling for her lip gloss, but before she could apply it, his fingers curled around her jaw, gently turning her toward him.

The car slowed as he leaned in, stealing a quick but lingering kiss, his lips hovering over hers for a moment longer.

By the time she registered it, he was already pulling back, one arm resting behind her seat while the other guided the car into the driveway.

"Alright, sunflower, go ahead," He began, amusement flickering in his eyes as she glared at him. "I'll grab everything from the backseat."

She remained seated, crossing her arms, still eyeing him with narrowed eyes.

"Kya?" He smirked, reaching for the gloss in her hands to dab it on her lips.

[What]

"You kissed me right outside my house," She snatched the gloss back, tossing it in her sling. "Aapko bilkul sharam nahi hai?"

[Do you have any shame]

He tilted his head, shrugging. "Nahi."

[No]

She exhaled sharply, shaking her head as she unbuckled the seatbelt, stepping out while murmuring. "Pagal, aadmi."
