The two weeks seemed to drag by but it was finally over and Eliza was on her father's private jet, on her way to Bahrain since that was where they held testing before the first race which was also held at that track.

She was about 20 minutes away from landing and was very excited to see her boyfriend again, they had talked every day, in some way, either texting, on the phone, or over FaceTime.

She was surprising him at the track since he wasn't expecting her to be there until later that evening since that was what she told him so that she could surprise him.

She was going to the hotel first and dropping her bags off, Lando had told her that after he checked in he told the front desk to leave a key card for her when she got there, so she didn't have to drag her stuff to the track and then back to the hotel later that night.

40 minutes later, Eliza had dropped her stuff into the room she was sharing with Lando and was, now on her way to the track to surprise her boyfriend.

She had been texting him and everything like normal so that he wasn't suspecting anything, her dad's jet had a Wi-Fi connection so there was no need for her to use airplane mode, while on the flight. (Idk how that actually works but for the purpose I'm going for in this book it works this way.)

Charles and Cami were the only two people that knew that she was coming earlier than what she had told, Lando, she had let the two know that she was almost there, as her Uber was turning down the street where the track's entrance was. She knew that Cami would be the one meeting her at the gate.

Max looked confused as his girlfriend took off basically sprinting out of the Red Bull area upon getting the text from Eliza. But he knew she would tell him about it later so he focused back on what his engineer was saying after the test run they had just finished.

Eliza had picked up the pass that had been left for her by Lando so that she could come and go from the track as she pleased while they were there for the week and he was personally going to give her the paddock passes she would need for the race weekend.

There were no cameras or anything around for testing which Eliza didn't really care about as she was used to being photographed when she went out. But since they haven't gone completely public with the relationship yet she was happy about that, even though as mentioned she didn't mind them sometimes. (this is probably not accurate but it goes with the way I'm writing this chapter so ig it's accurate for this book/series only, not for real.)

Cami met her as soon as she was through the gate, as promised and the two hugged, "ahhhh Eliza! it's so good to see you!"

Eliza laughed, "You too Cami! it's one of the things I've been looking forward to." Eliza returned the hug.

Cami looped her arm through Eliza's, "All right now enough wasting time, you've got a boyfriend to surprise!" Cami started leading her toward the McLaren garage where she knew Lando would be. "he still has no clue that you left earlier than what you told him last night, Charles and I have kept it tight-lipped, I didn't even tell Max and I tell him everything."

"I appreciate that Cami, I do." the two made small talk as they made their way to the McLaren garage.

"Okay, so I'm going to record this for you but also send it to Nat and Mikey since they can't be here to witness it themselves..." Cami gets Eliza in position and then starts recording before she calls out "Hey Lando, I brought you something." Cami called out seeing his back was turned.

That gathered all of the attention, as Lando turned around with a confused look on his face, but his confusion melted away as his eyes landed on Eliza standing where Cami had told her to stand, his face lit up seeing his girlfriend.
