"𝐇𝐞𝐲, 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐚 𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧'𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫?" Brooke asked Peyton as the three girls stood at the side of the gym, watching the game.
Nathan was throwing a party for the team at his beach house. Emiliana was looking forward to it, but she was also wondering what was going to happen. Something always got out of hand at these parties.
"I didn't think you were going. I figured you'd be hiding out in Lucas' backseat again," Peyton replied bitterly.
"Jealous," Brooke smirked.
"No."
"What? I could see it. You're both so broody. You could brood together," she chuckled.
"Yeah, Nathan would love that," Emiliana chuckled.
"Yeah, well, I'm on my last straw with him. I just know he's gonna screw something up tonight," Peyton muttered.
"Now the Ravens' in bound with the ball. Looks like they're trying to isolate Nathan Scott on the baseline."
"So basically, you think you're gonna break up tonight?" Emiliana clarified.
"The Masenberg defense tightens on him. Scott battles through, still working hard to get open down there."
Peyton nodded. "Do you need a ride to the party, Em?"
"Now Tim Smith, with the ball, working over on the wing. He's dribbling, looking for Nathan underneath, but he's not there. And now... Oh! Oh! A cross court pass putting Lucas Scott over the basket."
"Thanks, but Nathan's my chauffeur for the night. I can go with you if you want, though," she replied.
"So much for the putty grip on that one as the Ravens fall back on the bench."
"No, go with Nathan. Make sure he doesn't do anything stupid," Peyton replied.
"And I tell you what, Lucas Scott is really starting to gel with this team."
"Yeah, something tells me he's gonna be in a mood," Emiliana chuckled, hearing the praising for Lucas.
After the game, Emiliana changed into her party outfit which consisted of a black, off the shoulder tank and a denim mini skirt. She stood in the almost empty gym as Nathan made his way towards her, Tim trailing behind him.
