"𝐎𝐡, 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐝. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭-𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐰𝐚𝐲?" Nathan groaned, setting his pencil down.

Nathan and Emiliana were having a study session at Emiliana's house. They sat in her kitchen, sitting on the barstools.

"Don't look at me. I didn't make the curriculum," Emiliana shrugged. She looked at the counter space where Nathan was sitting.

She had made the mistake of giving him some freshly made chocolate chip cookies and now there were crumbs everywhere.

"What?" Nathan asked, noticing Emiliana eyeing the countertop.

Emiliana smiled innocently and stood up. She grabbed the marble cleaner, a cloth and a sweeper. "Lift up the books," she told Nathan as she started cleaning the counter.

"You're insane. You offered those cookies," Nathan reminded her.

"Yeah and I regret it. I thought you would get the hint when I ate mine over the sink," Emiliana replied.

"No, actually it just reminded me how crazy you are," he chuckled. "I thought this was a study session, not a cleaning one."

"Oh, now you wanna study?" Emiliana laughed, considering it had taken her thirty minutes just to get Nathan to open the book.

"Fair enough. Please tell me you're coming to my dad's 'kiss his ass' party," Nathan pleaded.

"Like I'd give up a chance to kiss your dad's ass," Emiliana said sarcastically. "But yeah, I'll be there."

"Good. You can distract me from punching my dad in the face," Nathan grinned.

"Oh, but where's the fun in that?" she sighed. "Anyways, I made you a little study guide for this history exam." Emiliana showed him the binder she'd put together. "I have all the units and subunits in here. I put them in alphabetical order and then I also put them in order by when it happened. Everything is cross-referenced, color coded and numbered."

Nathan stared at her in amusement. "You didn't have to do all that, Emi."

"Are you kidding? I had the time of my life," she smiled giddily.

"Has anyone told you you're a dork?" Nathan chuckled.

"You. Many times. Which isn't fair, considering I say plenty of nice things to you," Emiliana pointed out.
