"𝐈𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐞?" Peyton asked Emiliana, as the two girls walked through the parking lot.
Peyton had just told Emiliana about her latest run in with Brooke, who had ignored the blonde and walked away.
"For making out with her boyfriend?" Emiliana laughed. "I highly doubt it."
"I guess I wouldn't forgive me either," Peyton sighed. "God, why did I do this? I knew what I was risking and yet, I still went through with it."
"Love makes us act crazy," Emiliana shrugged. "Up until, like, a week ago, everything was always normal when I'd hang out with Nathan. Now, I'm always nervous around him and I get all these butterflies. I feel like I'm in middle school. It's ridiculous, he's been my best friend since we were six, for God's sake!"
"You have no idea how refreshing it is to hear you not denying having feelings for him. It only took you ten years to figure it out."
"Okay, in my defense, you two were dating for a year," Emiliana pointed out. "And unlike you, I don't go after my friends' boyfriends."
"Yep, I deserved that," Peyton chuckled. Just then, a Mustang with a Dan Scott Motors license plate pulled up in front of the girls, honking while rap music was blasted. Nathan got out of the car with a grin on his face. "What'd you do? Knock over your dad's dealership?" Peyton joked, getting a sarcastic smile from the boy in return. "Okay, none of my business. I'll see ya."
"Nice whip, Scott," Emiliana chuckled. "Can I drive it?"
"Hell no," Nathan scoffed. "Maybe when you get your license. Don't you have a Porsche waiting for you, anyways?"
"Good point," she shrugged. "My road test is next week. Fingers crossed."
"I don't get how someone as smart as you has failed a driver's test multiple times," Nathan chuckled.
"I just get nervous under that kinda pressure. I'm not a bad driver, it's just when I do those tests, I go blank. It's weird, considering I'm fine when it comes to tests for school," she explained. "Seriously though, where did the car come from?"
"My dad gave it to me. You know, as a way to bribe me into being on his side," Nathan rolled his eyes.
Emiliana shook her head. "Nothing like love from a parent. Just give it back."
"No way," he chuckled. "It may be for all the wrong reasons, but I'm gonna take advantage of the free car."
Emiliana examined the outside of the car. "There's some dirt on it. You might wanna get that cleaned."
