Emiliana was helping Brooke hang up her campaign posters around the school. The picture was of Brooke, in a very chic suit, holding a latin textbook, which happened to be upside down. Emiliana had never seen Brooke look so studious before.

"I still can't believe you're running for president," she laughed. "And against Erica Marsh? No one runs against Erica Marsh."

Brooke scowled at Emiliana. "Well, I am. She's a bitch and I'd be a much better president than she ever was."

"I admire your confidence," Emiliana muttered.

"I think you're forgetting that I'm holding a stapler," Brooke warned, holding it up.

Emiliana rolled her eyes, before smiling when she saw Peyton and Haley approaching the two.

"Hey, stranger. I've barely seen you lately," Emiliana said to Haley.

"Yeah, I know. I've been at the cafe lots and working on music," she replied, running a hand through her hair.

"With Chris?" Emiliana asked with raised eyebrows. Haley could deny it all she wanted, but Emiliana noticed how much time Haley had spent with him since he showed up in Tree Hill.

"No, he left town. He's in New York for this showcase thing," Haley informed Emiliana. "And now I have to deal with my sister, who's in town."

"Which one?"

"Taylor," Haley sighed.

Emiliana smiled, remembering her from freshman year. Emiliana had always admired her outgoing, carefree personality. "Oh, I always liked her," she gushed.

"Didn't she hook up with Nathan?" Brooke asked.

Emiliana's eyes widened, suddenly remembering that piece of information. "Ugh, I always hated that slut!"

"Okay, enough about that," Brooke interjected. "Like my new campaign posters?"

Peyton nodded, examining the posters. "I have never seen you looking so-"

"Presidential?"

"Funereal," Peyton corrected, causing Emiliana to laugh.
