Christmas day 2023

Me and lando had spent the last few months spending every second together. I moved into lando's apartment in Monaco and Lando was now at the top of the drivers championships. Abu Dhabi was in a week.

Today was christmas day.

The crisp winter sun shone through the blinds of the air bnb me and lando's family had hired out for christmas.

I leant to my side to check the clock on my phone.

9:26am

I could hear quiet chatter from downstairs. I began to play with lando's curls as he stirred awake.

"Merry Christmas love." he mumbled as he placed his neck onto my chest.

"Merry Christmas Lan." i kissed his head as i shuffled out of bed lando groaning as he pulled me back.

"10 more minutes."

I giggled as i pushed his arm off of me, "Cmon lando our families are already up."

He groaned before dragging himself out of bed as he rubbed his eyes.

I grabbed lando's hoodie from the floor throwing it on over our matching christmas pajamas. Grabbing his hand we headed downstairs to our families.

"Morning you two." cisca smiled as she placed some teas down on the table for us all.

"Morning mum." lando smiled hugging her.

We all took a seat on the massive sofa as we began opening presents.

"NO YOU DIDNT!" flo squealed as she looked at me and lando before squashing us with a hug. We had gotten her a new helmet for her riding that she had always wanted.

"Your welcome flo." i smiled.

Soon enough we ended up to me and lando's presents. "Here you go." i smiled at lando as i placed the gift on his lap.

His eyes widened as he looked down at letter. "Are you joking?"

"Nope." i giggled as he pulled me into a hug kissing my head.

"What is it?" penelope asked.

"It's a golf tour for me and my mates."

"Boring." mila giggled with penelope as they went off to play with their new toys.

"That's very nice of you mads." my mum smiled.

Lando placed my present on my lap, a small red velvet box. I glanced up at him confused as i opened the box to see a gorgeous ring with a
!!HUMONGOUS!!! diamond on top.

Lando smiled at me blushing before getting down on one knee as the family gasped.

"Well uhm.. mads i think i loved you from the very first time i saw you. When i watched you cheer me on from below i knew you were the one. My family love you and i even think my nieces and nephew love you more than me, so.. will you marry me?"

Tears brimmed in my eyes as i nodded happily before hugging him as he placed the ring on my finger. I kissed him as a tear ran down my cheek, he wiped it away.

"Oh i'm so happy for you both!" savannah smiled as she pulled us into a hug.

The others all hugged us as we took a sit back down. I glanced down at my finger messing with the ring.

"Are you happy?" lando whispered.

"I'm very happy, i love you." i whispered as he kissed the ring on my finger.
