Abu Dhabi WDC 2023

Today was the day. Lando was currently at the top of the drivers championships with only 25 points between him and max. Whoever won would be The 2023 F1 Drivers Champion.

Lando's leg shook as we sat in his drivers room, the race was in 1 hour and Lando had been a nervous reck.

I placed my hand on his leg to stop it shaking sending him a warm smile, "Lan, you need to calm down, we all believe you and your amazing no matter what happens today. We don't think of you any different, okay?"

He nodded taking in a deep breath, linking our fingers together.

Lando's trainer, Jon opened the door, "How you feeling?" He asked taking a chair and sitting down.

"Like shit?" lando laughed.

"Lando, i'm sure madi has told you but you will do fine, as long as you try your hardest what more can you do?"

"I know, just nervous."

"Once you're on the track it will go away."

"Thanks Jon."

"No worries, i'll leave you too for a bit. Oh and congrats on the engagement." he smiled standing up and walking out.

Lando sighed sitting back, laying his head on my chest. "I love you, thank you for staying here."

"I wouldn't let you sit and be a nervous reck Lan, and i love you too." i replied placing a kiss on his temple.

We layed like this until zack came in splitting us up, "Are you ready?"

"I think so..."

We both stood up as i held his hand squeezing it. We made our way into the garage as everyone wished lando and oscar goodluck as they started to put their helmets on and zip up their suits.

"Good luck oscar." i smiled as i gave him a hug.

"Thanks madi." he smiled as he walked off to speak to lily and his family.

Unfortunately lando and mines family couldn't make it but they were all watching at home. Max and pietra were here though.

As lando zipped up his suit i kissed him giving him a hug, "Good luck Love, everyone's supporting you."

He nodded hugging me, max and pietra one more time before placing his helmet on and getting in his car. I took a deep breath before lily joined my side lining our arms.

"Are you nervous?" she asked.

"Extremely." i laughed softly.

"Me too, they will do good, i know it."

I smiled at her as we placed on our headphones taking a seat beside the engineers.

"And here we are, The Abu Dhabi 2023 world championships, who will the winner be tonight, Lando Norris or Max verstappen?"

"And It's lights out and away we go!"

I fidgeted with my ring as i watched them take off, Lando still in the lead for the first lap.

On lap 37 max boxed, lucky for us we were in p1 and had just boxed meaning we now had an advantage.

Lando was in the lead by 11 seconds and oscar was also behind.

Me and lily didn't speak both being a nervous reck.

"They're gonna do it mads." she gasped.
