i was just watching a video reading out posts on the subreddit r/iamapieceofshit when one of them caught my attention...
it was about an incident in a fandom that one of you is in (not saying what fandom or who) where someone got driven to literal SUICIDE over shipping.
I'M NOT KIDDING.
reading the comments, it was a non-canon pairing that they shipped, of which one of the characters ended up in a canon relationship with another... from what i know, i don't watch the show.
and the shippers of the canon ship got pissed that the victim wasn't shipping theirs, and pushed them to kill themselves.
THIS SHIP WASN'T EVEN THE ABUSER X VICTIM SHIP IN THE SHOW.
...
look, i may hate folark, but i wouldn't tell people to kill themselves over it.
i'm only turning 15 tomorrow, how am i more mature than those... monsters?!
now i'm just scared for my friend in this fandom... i know your favourite ship has mixed opinions, especially because one of them is heavily implied to be aromantic...
...
just be careful when it comes to the fans, okay?
