That morning Kore woke up early, before everyone else. She was famished, she hadn't eaten something in over 24 hours. She went down stairs but to her surprise found zero food that wasn't rooted in a pot.

She made her way to the door ready to visit the strawberry fields she'd gotten a glimpse of the day before but was surprised to see the camp director coming her way with a young girl trailing behind him. Chiron looked at her with pleasant surprise, "Kore, just the person I was coming to see".

The daughter of persephone felt a bit embarrassed, she probably looked like a wreck, and she was starting to get a headache from hunger, but nonetheless she managed a small smile.

Chiron stepped aside, letting a girl come into view. "This is Amy Hart, she has volunteered to show you how things are done here at Camp-Half Blood". The girl seemed to be around her age and she was beautiful. She had long black hair, deep brown eyes, and a smile so big Kore couldn't help but think it must've hurt.

Amy stepped forward and stuck her hand out, "Hello, I'm Amy! Cabin 10, daughter of Aphrodite, and your new friend". Kore looked at her hand and smiled awkwardly, not knowing what to do. The other girl grabbed her hand and shook it. "It's called an hand shake, a way to greet new people".

"Well I'm going to let you two get acquainted. Amy, teach her everything" said Chiron and then he was off.

Amy didn't let go of her hand, "Come, we'll start with the bathrooms", she said as she guided her to a small of building near the middle of the cabins. "To the right are the showers, to the left the bathroom stalls" she explained. The girl led her to the building on the left where she gave her a small bag with a bunch of things called toiletries and explained how to use them all.

Kore felt stupid and embarrassed because here Amy was explaining things that seemed like common knowledge and she didn't know the first thing about them. But she was grateful for the girl taking the time to explain it to her and she absorbed every ounce of information.

They then went to the second building and after Amy explained how the showers worked and which soap was which, she left Kore to take a shower while she got her a towel and some spare clothes.

When Kore was done she dried off and changed into a pair of jean shorts and after some minor difficulties with a bra, she put on a clean new camp shirt.

They walked out of the bathrooms and Kore's stomach started to rumble, she still hadn't eaten anything. Amy who was walking beside her said "Have you eaten anything yet?". Kore shook her head, cheeks a little pink. "Oh my gods! When was the last time you ate? I'm so stupid, food is the first thing I should've thought of" the other girl said.

Amy stopped and turned to the right, "Come on breakfast should be starting soon", she said as she walked in the direction of the pavilion. Kore followed her with a smile on her face at the mention of breakfast.

As they walked, Amy asked "So, if you don't mind me asking, how did you get here?". Kore was silent for a moment, debating what to say. "Percy ended up on the island I was at, he brought me here". A small smirk made its way onto Amy's face "Ooo that sounds like the beginning of a love story, very disney princessy". Kore just looked at her in confusion, both because of the love story comment and she didn't know what in the tartarus a disney princess was.
