Farm house Lyric was laid passed out in a double bed in the farm house, temperature going up as the bullet fragments spread close to her heart "Hey" Lori spoke to Rick walking in looking at the brunette on the bed as blood went from ricks arm into her "hey" he smiled lightly at her "what happened out there" Rick looked at the girl "I honestly couldn't tell you it went so fast, Carl was watching a deer going up to it, the deer wasn't even frightened, then out of nowhere she ran out stood between Carl and the deer and seconds later a shot ran through the air, it was a stupid hunting accident, but if she wasn't there Carl would have got hit, so I owe her" he looked at his wife, she rubbed his back "I am so thankful she was there to" your black face paint was still smudged down your face, as you laid still on the bed

A few hours later you woke up screaming in pain, the pain becoming to much as you thrash about not being able to fully open your eyes, being held down by a few people to keep you still "if they don't get back soon we are going to have to do it without the equipment" you couldn't figure out who was speaking "will she survive" there was a sigh "there's no guarantee she will survive with the equipment but it's a greater chance she will" again it all went black.
Shane got back with what was needed Otis apparently not making it, "no one tells Patricia I need her" Hershel spoke to everyone. the others got ready to do your surgery, a few hours passed others from ricks group had arrived to the farm, all checking on Rick asking what happened he repeated the same thing he told Lori, not really sure what else to say "she will be fine, she should wake in a few hours, she will be weak for about a week" Hershel spoke walking out of the door to his front yard where everyone was waiting "and then what will we do with her" Shane asked looked between everyone and landing on Rick "I'm not sure yet but she saved Carl, without even knowing us she risked her life for Carl she damn near died, she deserves a lot in my books" Lori looked at him nodding her head "ricks right she done a selfless thing and that makes me think she's a decent person" Rick smiled at Lori thankful he's on his side "what ever you guys think is right" Glenn smiled at the married couple.
You woke up looking around the room, the pain at the moment was dull not as intense as it previously was, which you was grateful for, a man with a white beard walked through "hello, good to see your awake, I managed to get all bullet fragments out of your body, your be in pain and weak for a while" he spoke while checking your incision "I'll send in the man who brought you here, he seems nice" he smiled at you, you smiled back "thank you" you croaked out, he didn't have to help you yet he did, he seems like a lovely man.
A knock rang through the room as the guy with the sheriff hat peaked his head round the door "hey.." you looked at him and smiled "hey, thank you for bringing me here" his eyes shot up "your thanking me, you got yourself shot protecting my boy" he chuckled "well couldn't have that cutie get shot now could I" Rick stared at you, it's like he was trying to figure you out, you was doing the same, the man looked very familiar
"how did you know he was going to get shot" you looked down "I saw you , the boy, and the other man out the corner of my eye whilst I was hunting that deer, I watched you for a while smiling at the boy, it was the glint of the rifle a few meters away that caught my attention, I figured he couldn't see the boy so I didn't even think I just ran" you shrugged your shoulders "how did you see the glint" he asked "it was my job, I taught hunting tracking and killing for the army" Rick seemed shocked "I'm sorry, I did not expect that, I'm Rick by the way Rick Grimes" he moved his hand out in front of him waiting for you to shake it.
you froze "Rick...Rick Grimes" you repeated, he looked at you confused and nodded " oh my god Rick you got old" you chuckled, Rick just stares at you not sure who you was "it's me Lyric...Lyric Sunne" ricks eyes widened a big grin making its way onto his lips "oh my god I cannot believe it's you, your still alive, god I cannot believe it ...you just disappeared one day, I thought, I thought your dad..." he trailed off " no I got out I left as soon as I could" you smiled at the man you now know was the boy who took your virginity all those years ago "you saved my boy" he smiled tears in his eyes "well I'm glad I did" he pulled you into a hug careful of your stitches.
just then Lori walked in "sorry to intrude" Lori spoke slightly jealous at what she walked in on "I just wanted to check you was alright and to thank you for saving my boy" your eyes widened realising this woman must be ricks wife "oh it's no worries at all, rather me than him" you smiled "Lori, this is Lyric" Lori looked at you eyes wide "The Lyric?" Rick nodded at her and you shyly look down " your first love" your head snapped to Rick not expecting that to escape his wife's lips "that wasn't really the words I used, she was my first ever girlfriend, my only one other than you" "you thought she was dead" he nodded looking form Lori to you "that I did, anyway, Lyric this is my wife Lori" you smiled at the pretty woman in front of you "it's so lovely to meet you" "it's lovely to meet you to, thank you again for saving my boy" she smiled as she left the room leaving just you and Rick once more.
