Prison

"Hey kid" you walked up to Carl in his own cell, he turned to look at you "hey Lee" "I hear iv got you to thank for sticking up for me earlier with your father" you pulled him into a side hug "eh, I just set him straight told him after everything you have been through you are still here being the best gardian we could ask for whilst he's off not looking after us, I know something terrible happened to you I won't ask what I probably wouldn't understand it, but I'm always here, I know I'm 13 and annoying sometimes but I love you" tears stream down your face once more today "oh Carl I love you so much, I will always be here for you and Judy, your dad has spoke to me he's going to step up he's trying, loosing your mum messed him up, but he does need to sort it out we have bigger problems happening" "yeah like Daryl" you looked at him furrowed eyebrows "no like the governor" "and the fact Daryl left when you two was getting close" you laughed "your to smart for your age" "well maybe you should also talk to him, we need everyone together we need it not to be awkward and we need to stand tall for the governor" you nodded gave him a kiss on the head "okay, I love you Carl"

You walk into the common area everyone was out here chatting, you spot Merle and Daryl sat on the wall and railing of the place, you took a deep breath and made your way over "well if it isn't boss bitch" Daryl snapped his head up only just noticing you then glaring at Merle "shut the fuck up" he snapped "hey...um...did you um want to talk" the nerves clear as day in your voice, his eyebrows raised as he nodded jumping down "come on we can't go outside so we will go to my cell"

You walked in sat on the bed waiting for him to do the same "I'm" you both said at the same time he looked at you, " you first". You looked down twiddling your thumbs " I'm mad at you....you left us....you left this place...you left me, and I'm sorry I know he's your brother, but he's one of the reasons I'm not myself, he dragged me there he ruined me by letting that man have his way with me, he came in did you know, didn't stop it was shocked it was happening yes but didn't stop it the governor told him to fuck off and he did, whilst I looked at him pleading eyes because I figured he was your brother there's no one else, I thought he would save me," anger rises up in his body he needed to stay calm for this conversation but god Merle was going to get it once this conversation was done "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry I didn't know he seen it I didn't know I swear, I wouldn't have gone with him, but he's my brother I thought I was doing the right thing, once we was away it was my choice to come home, I left you when you needed me the most and I was so angry at myself so I don't blame you, but you mean a lot to me lyric, I swear iv never met anyone like you"

you could see he was sorry and he was telling the truth to be honest you just wanted your bestfriend back, he doesn't need to know you love him, "it's okay we will be okay" Daryl grinned pulling you into a hug and missing the top of your head you smiled into the imbrace missing it thinking you'd never get to hug this rugged man again "I missed you so much" you smiled up at him " I missed you to" he squeezed you tighter "now if you will excuse me I need to have some words with Merle" your heart raced scare Merle would hurt Daryl "be careful" "I don't need to be careful when it comes to protecting you"

Daryl stormed up to Merle seeing red he grabbed ahold of his brother and ripped him off the bars he was sat on throwing him on the floor, all chatter in the room stopped everyone shocked about what was happening, Hershel got up to stop it but Rick stopped him "don't he needs to do this" Hershel sighed and sat back down watching the fight unfold "ahh man what the fuck did you do that for" Merle coughed out trying to get air from being winded, it looked like steam was about to come out of Daryl's ears "YOU WALKED IN AND DONE NOTHING TO HELP HER! YOU SEEN WHAT HE WAS DOING TO HER AND YOU DONE NOTHING"

shock forms on everyone's face as they realise what this is about, Rick is even fuming and would like to throw a punch for his best friend, Daryl punch Merle over and over in his face "ahh man you just don't get it, I was one man I couldn't have done anything but piss him off more and he and his other followers would have killed me" Daryl in this moment doesn't care what he's saying, he's said it out of pure anger and part truth " YOU BEING DEAD WOULD BE A-LOT BETTER THAN WHAT SHE WENT THROUGH"  your eyes widened you didn't want to tear the brothers apart like this you just wanted Daryl to know "Daryl come on man let's leave it" Rick tried grabbing his arm only to be pushed forcefully away "NO HE LET HIM HURT HER" tears rolled down his angry cheeks as he kicked and hit his older brother " Dar" your voice carried through the cells "dar please" he stopped immediately turning to look at you " this isn't you, come on, leave him he's had enough, I don't want someone hurt because of me" Daryl's eyes soften as he walks towards you, you smiled at everyone and nodded towards Merle hinting for them to sort him out as she led Daryl away.
