The hilltop

It was day time now and Maggie was trying to find Daryl, Daryl was stood talking to Tara outside "Daryl" Maggie shouted at him, he looked at Maggie and nodded "what's up why do you look like that" "it's lyric" he straighten up "what where" "she's in the caravan saddiq is fixing her up" he doesn't speak to them and runs past towards the room, slowly getting to the door, he didn't know how to feel, he loved this woman but he wasn't happy with everything she's done but he couldn't imagine anything happening to her.

He walked into the room seeing the woman he loves on the bed unconscious "how is she" Daryl asked Rick "saddiq said she will make it but she lost a lot of blood" Daryl looked down " damn woman always getting herself bloody shot" Daryl spat Rick chuckled "yeah what's this 3rd or 4th time now" they chuckled until it died down, Daryl walked up to you and stroked your face " she looks good, he kept her safe and fed at least" Rick spoke staring at Daryl as his jaw clenched.

Gasps came from your lips as the pain radiated from your shoulder down your back "fucking fuck fuck" you groaned out "hey, hey, it's okay" your eyes snapped open "rick" tears spilled from your eyes as you stared up at your bestfriend "oh god I'm so glad your okay" you cried "me, your the one who got shot" he chuckled, whilst laughing more "but..but my..my...Carl" your heart hurt so much mentioning his name, Rick looked at you confused before he widened his eyes "hey hey listen to me he's okay he's okay I promise he's okay" you slowed your breathing confusion all over your face " what what do you mean he's.... You told Negan he was dead, I was with him" Rick looked guilty as shit not understanding what happened " but we sent a letter we shot it through the wood we usually shoot" he looks at you as you close your eyes remembering, "fuck there was one but it got wet I couldn't....i couldn't read it" tears stream still "I'm so sorry, that was telling you the plan of making him feel bad and think we would now be weakened due to his death and mourning, I promise you Lee he's absolutely fine" you smiled and tried to raise your arm to hug him "ow ow fuck"

"baby your gunna have to be careful" you gasped not knowing he was also in the room " dar" more tears now ran down your face "god I didn't think this day would come" Daryl smiled "I was hoping you wouldn't be hurt but here we are" Rick cleared his throat "I'm going to leave you both for abit" he kissed your head "I love you I'll see you soon, the kids miss you they will be here soon" "I doubt even Judith remembers me" Daryl felt sad for you "I promise she does, we all haven't stopped talking about you she knows exactly who her mama is" you grinned "thank you so much" you cried again he smiled and left Siddiq getting the hint and also leaving,

" I know your mad at me and I get it I understand if you are" you looked at him through your lashes, he shook his head "I'm not mad, I was but now I'm just glad your okay" "I seen the way you looked at me when I seen you in Alexandria" he nodded holding you hand sitting next to you " I was mad but I get it, I get you wanted to protect the kids, get inside information I just wish it wasn't having sex with another man let alone him." you looked away ashamed "it didn't mean anything, at least to me, a lot of the time I actually pretended he was you" he blushed and smirked "oh did you" you both laughed "he's going to wonder where I am and then more shit might be caused, I have to go back I can't be the reason more people die" you start freaking out trying to get up "nope your not going back there we will sort it we still have Dwight as much as I hate that mother fucker" Daryl grumbled "he helped me today, hes been helpful, he's been alright" "was you treated right over there" Daryl stared right at you, you nodded

" he's in love with me" you avoid Daryl's eyes as he stared directly at you "yeah, Dwight mentioned something like that" "yeah, he said it a few weeks back, he got rid of all his wife's so there was just me but that was also part of the deal" Daryl looks at you "what else was part of the deal" you looked at him "he couldn't hurt anyone unless they didn't help the situation quite like Spencer to be honest, you guys kept making it hard fighting back but I get it, was to protect the kids" "yeah I seen you tell him off a few times" you struggled sitting up Daryl helped you " yeah he let me, the looks on his peoples face when he let me speak to him like that, he thought I was fully on his side forgotten about you lot, I didn't even kneel once for him he knew I was stubborn"

Daryl looked at you "did you have lots of sex" you sign "dar, come on i" he looked at you begging "please i need to know" "wasn't a lot ...a lot but it was a few times, times he'd come back from stressful runs or meetings" "did he force you" "not like rape no, he was very respectful if you can believe it, i mean all of it was forced I didn't want to have sex with the guy, but it got him to trust me, I even killed and beat one of his men" Daryl laughed " yeah Morgan and Dwight said" "well he killed that boy, he killed him and I seen Carl and I killed him, but Negan didn't punish me for it he stuck up for me so I guess I'm just really good at faking it all" "I love you dar you know that and I don't mind if you don't say it back, I know what iv done is unforgivable and you didn't say it back last time so I get it...I'm rambling" he was silent looking at you " dar, I'm just so sorry I betrayed you" you closed your eyes, tears forming you think you lost him for good, before a kiss was pressed to your forehead "hey hey look at me, you did what you had to do, I'm not mad at you anymore, I just....I love you so much baby"
