The gates squeaked open, a couple people on the inside starring at your group with curious and fearful eyes, a dustbin rustled to your left as you shot your arrow quick so did Daryl both hitting the possum, "we brought dinner" Daryl spoke holding up the dead animal, insiders looked disgusted but your group chuckled at his dry humour.

"If your staying you hand over your weapons" some guy spoke up as the gates shut behind you all "we don't know if we want to stay" Rick argued back " if we was going to use them don't worry we would have already, the weapons stay" you took charge, no one had really said it but they knew it was you and Rick that was the main leaders of the group though the rest was the council pretty much.

"Let them talk to Deanna first" "who's Deanna" big red interrupted Aaron " she knows everything you'd want to know about this place, Rick, why don't you start" he nodded handing you Judith because he'd taken her off Carl as they walked through the gates, "be safe don't let your guard down" he whispered to me I nodded his way a smile on my face he kissed my head, Rick was gone for maybe half an hour hard to know with no clocks, as you was feeding Judith everyone else went before you, the last person before you was Daryl you smiled at him he kissed your cheek before leaving.

Daryl walked back out a grunt with his step, " she wants you now babe" the group still shocked that he kissed you on the cheek was now shocked the word babe left his mouth, you blushed as the stares came your way "okay here Rick take Judy" you kissed her cheek and made your way inside, you came in and looked around " hello you must be the lyric" you smiled at the woman " hello yes you must be Deanna" she nodded "you mind if I record this" you turned to look at her after admitting her clean house "no go ahead" you sat on the sofa "you know your group has amazing things to say about you" your smile spread " they say if it wasn't for you sometimes none of them would be here or keep a smile on there face and Carl said if it wasn't for you he'd probably have killed himself after his mother died" "what..." your heart broke that Carl thought them things.

"What iv gathered is your ricks bestfriend, stand in mother for his kids but you and mr Dixon are an item" she looked at me waiting form,e to confirm "yeah exactly that" "that's so lovely of you lyric, you seem like a wonder ful woman" you smiled at her "what did you do before all of this" you laughed "does it matter" "yes what you used to do matters I give jobs similar to the ones you used to have it helps us keep some for, of normaliy" you nodded your head understand slightly " okay I worked in the army for years done many tours then I trained people to fight hunt catch and kill animals which then helped with hunting people" deanna looked at you shocked "wow I did not expect that" "why" "well the way your group describes you doesn't seem like that" you shook your head " I might not show that I can beat a fully grown man but I can, I helped feed the group I help keep them safe" "all while being a mother" you nodded looking at her "yes all while looking after a new born and a teenager that aren't biologically mine"

The convo came to an end quicker than you expected, Aaron was now showing you the houses you was staying in "both are yours" he leaned in closer " that one has 4 bedroom and more curve appeal" you laughed "if you need me call me" we looked at him "oh no there's no phones I mean I'm 4 doors down" everyone chuckled " thank you Aaron" he nodded and waved goodbye leaving you and your group to register what was going on, you walk around the house that Aaron said was better Carl, looking so grown up walked over and used the tap water slashed out like no tomorrow "does that mean there's a shower" his eyes widened "shotgun" I shouted running upstairs "Nah Lee come on that's no fair" "I shout gunned sorry mate, maybe next time sore looser" you both laughed loudly, you went into the shower room and got undressed, the dirt on your body crumbled to the floor you felt sick at the sight, you finally looked in the mirror the first time in forever

Cuts blood and dirt covered your face you didn't even recognise yourself, you undone your braids and stepped into the blissful shower "mmmmmm" you moaned loudly scrubbing every inch of your body, you didn't even know how long you was in there but 4 shampoos and 5 body washes as well as shaving everywhere you stepped out, grabbing a tooth brush and brushed your teeth, you got ready and made your way over to the other house where everyone was walking in everyone was shocked when they seen you

"Wowwwee little lee you clean up nice" big red spoke Daryl snapped his head towards him and glared as Rosita glared at you, you laughed loudly "why thank you big red" you grinned at the man, seconds later Rick walked out the bathroom clean shaven "I forgot what was under there, reminds me of when I woke up from being shot" Rick smiled "yeah I didn't realise it was so bad" everyone chuckled "you was shot?" Eugene asked "oh yeah iv been shot a few times" "she got shot saving my life" Carl interrupted looking you dead in the eye "and she got shot saving my daddy's life" Maggie nodded "you really will go through anything to protect this group" the original group all looked at you knowing what you went through to protect Maggie, Maggie gave you a small smile "yes she would and that's why she's my right hand man and stand in mother of my kids" Rick came up behind you and hugged you

The door knocking ran through the house and Rick went to answer it "wow, your all sleeping together" Deanna observed "no one said we couldn't" you spoke out "no no, you all made it very clear your a family, iv never seen anything like it, people who never knew each other can turn into a family after the world ended" you smiled "I'll do anything to protect them" Deanna looked over at you and nodded with a small smile "well I will see you tomorrow iv told people to leave you alone, but I'm throwing a welcome party, I expect you all to be there"
