Her return has been rather bland. Ple expected it to be more scandalous but as it turns out, a lot has happened since she left.

And a boy named Rain has stolen the show, from confessing his feelings to Phayu by sneaking a letter into his desk to Phayu publicly claiming him and warning anyone who crosses the boy.

As she applies her lipstick in a timid tint of pink in the school's washroom, Ple stares at her reflection and wonders how she can make her presence known again. But more importantly, how can she take back what's hers?

Prapai is just leaving the locker room; he spent the whole morning practicing alone just to tire himself out and after a quick shower, he's headed back to class. He steps out onto the hallway and immediately sees a familiar face.

"Hey." Ple waves her hand timidly. "How've you been?"

~~~
The two are walking together and it's rather awkward. The sun is warm and Ple can't help but recall a time when she and Pai played soccer on a day just like this.
"Remember when you would teach me soccer? But I was really bad at it and just ended up scraping my knee. Then you had to carry me-"
"Ple..." Prapai quietly interrupts. "Why are you back?"
This catches Ple off-guard and she somewhat sulkily says, "You too? So much for a warm welcome."
Prapai stops walking and turns to face her. "You know we're not in the position to have a happy reunion, Ple. Did you really think you can just show up a year later and it'll be like nothing ever happened?"
"No." Ple admits. "But that's why I'm here. I want to make things right and I'm going to do everything to earn your forgiveness—you and Phayu."
"I wish it were that simple."
"Why can't it be?" Ple asks, her eyes pleading. "Pai, let's sit down and chat. That's a start, right?"
Prapai sighs frustratedly. "I can't."
"Why not?"
"I..." Just then, Prapai sees Sky walking past and raises his hand to get the boy's attention. Sky glances behind himself to check if Prapai is waving at him. Then he mouths the word, "Me?"
Prapai nods and Sky walks over. Then the former turns back to Ple and says, "I can't today. Sky and I have a study session. Right, Sky?"
Sky looks at him with a puzzled look but forces a smile and nods anyway. "Mm-mm! R-right."
"Maybe some other time." Prapai tells Ple before turning to Sky. "Let's go?"
Sky nods and follows the other even though he has no idea what the heck is going on.
Meanwhile, Rain enters the basketball court and sees Phayu on the couch with his eyes closed and headphones on. A mischievous smile stretches across his face and he quietly tiptoes towards the boy.
He's never seen Phayu surprised or scared before and just the thought is already making him giggle. He's a foot away from him when Rain brings his hands up and takes a deep breath, preparing to shout.
But before he could, Phayu opens his eyes and looks at Rain like he's dumb. The boy is frozen in position for a good couple seconds before he drops his hands and slumps down on his usual seat across Phayu.
"How'd you know?" He asks sulkily to which Phayu's gaze flicks down to his shoes then back up at the sulking boy. "Those shoes are so loud, I could hear you from a mile away."
