I couldn't care less.

Phayu tells Saifah after the latter informed him that his ex has returned to the country. But then, Saifah adds,

She's coming back to our school.

...

Phayu pauses, his confidence silently wavering. But then, he receives a message from Rain right at that moment saying,

P'Phayu, I'm going to talk to P'Pai to tell him I'll be studying with you. Is that okay?

Phayu smiles; Rain is truly everything his ex was not and he'd be a fool to be affected by her reappearance.

Go ahead.

But keep it short.

Rain laughs on the other side and quickly types,

I will. See you tomorrow.

Rain and his friends arrive all together the next morning. And for the first time, the two experience firsthand Rain and Phayu's public display of affection.

"Phi!" Rain chirps upon seeing Phayu arriving on his bike. The latter takes off his helmet and immediately asks, "Did you talk to Pai already?"

Rain frowns. "Not even a good morning?"

Phayu pretends to roll his eyes but says anyway, "Good morning."

"See? That's better." Rain beams to which Phayu shakes his head with a smirk then follows up, "Now answer my question."

"Not yet." Rain admits. "I'll meet him later; don't try to tell him before I do. Okay?" Rain lightly scolds Phayu—Phayu for god's sake!

But the notorious young man just nods his head. "Fine. I'm gonna be late for class. I'll see you at lunch?"

"Mm!" Rain bobs his head. "See you."

They were so sweet, Som thought they might kiss right then and there. But thankfully, they didn't because that would've caused an uproar.

When Rain rejoins them with a bounce to his steps, his friends are both utterly speechless. And all the boy has to say for himself is, "What?"

"I beg your pardon?" Sky turns his head sideways so his ear is facing Rain. "I don't think I heard you correctly."

Rain half rolls his eyes but in a way, he understands where his friend is coming from. He sighs and repeats himself. "I'm going to stop studying with P'Pai. I know you worked hard on making that happen, Sky. And I am sorry."

"Rain, that's not the point." Sky tells him. "Does this mean...you're choosing Phayu?" He whispers that last part and Rain glances around to make sure no one is listening in on them before answering, "No...maybe. I don't know.

"But all I know is P'Phayu is my boyfriend right now and it's not right that I'm trying to get closer to P'Pai while we're still together."

Sky draws back with a thoughtful look on his face; the boy has a point but he can't help but feel that Rain has already made up his mind even though he himself may not be fully aware of it yet.

But before they could continue their conversation, they hear a commotion outside. But it's not a fight or the sort. Instead, people are clamoring around as if they're seeing a celebrity on campus.

"Did you see her? She's so pretty!" A male freshman tells his friend just as they're walking away from the crowd.

"Who're they talking about?" Rain muses to which Sky offers a speculation, "New student, maybe."
